POPSTime for Jackson and Sharpton to Step Down This article really does a good job to put things in perspective. As a white person who doesn't like or listen to Imus, him getting fired for his poor comments seems to be taking the direction of the situation to a very hypocritical level. Read the entire article, as it's probably the deepest and most well thought out one I've read about this topic.

POPSIf you are arrested, say NOTHING If you watch the show "Cops" you realize the vast majority of the perps are too stupid to follow this advice, and ultimately make their situation worse than it already is. Once you are read your Miranda Rights, SHUT THE HELL UP. Really, do yourself a favor and read this section of the website.

POPSTeacher Removes Desks from Classroom Go to the source and read the rest of this story. There's a great lesson here for more people than just this class full of students. And consider this source. This is true, and a great teaching effort.

POPS623,000 fugitive Illegal Aliens in the US! This is pretty scary to think that there are so many "fugitives" in America at this time. Not only that, this is estimated at only 5.4% of ALL ILLEGAL ALIENS? That's scary. That would mean over 11 MILLION Illegal Aliens are in America right now.

POPSTurning trash into power via plasma heating This is pretty incredible! Imagine your town's garbage dump being the source for all of the heating and electricity you need. This scientist is using super hot plasma to convert pretty much anything into energy!

POPSLife under Saddam's Regime I have read a couple of comments recently about how much "worse" the people of Iraq are with the US there, after ousting Saddam's dictatorship. Those who believe it was just a "war for oil" seem to forget his brutality towards even his own citizens. Read the entire article for more details and figures.

POPSSaddam's Environmental Impact What Saddam did to the Middle East goes far beyond his crimes against humanity. He destroyed entire ecosystems and threatened many more.

POPSTorture in Iraq under Saddam's Rule This is my last clip about conditions and life during Saddam's rule compared to the present situation. It's regarding a senate request to see evidence of the torture in Iraq. This isn't the beheading videos we've probably all heard about and maybe have seen, these are hardcore tapes that I never even heard about. Reporter Nick Schultz does an excellent job to describe the tapes to allow us to understand how horrific they are and why they are truly important for every adult to know about and watch. Forget war for oil. This is evidence enough for anyone with a speck of humanity to realize we did the right thing to free Iraq. You may not like the way we went about it, but weapons of mass destruction seem minor if you have to stomach to watch the videos. (I'm not clipping them). Do yourself a favor and read the article.

POPSSunday Night in Bagdad This is a great blog from the eyes of a civilian in Bagdad. I find his words very encouraging and hope this recent wave of positive things continues, for him and his fellow countrymen.

POPSVets to Gather March 17 to Protect the Wall - Vietnam Vets Momorial in Wash. DC It wasn’t the anti-war message that got their backs up so much as it was the location that activists picked to start a march to the Pentagon - the Vietnam Veterans Memorial - and what happened during an anti-war rally held Jan. 27. On that day, a small group of over-exuberant protesters spray-painted slogans on the Capitol steps. The veterans fear a repeat performance that could damage the memorial, something they say they will not allow. ======================================================= Regardless of what you think of the war in Iraq, or feel about Bush, DO NOT TAKE IT OUT on the other sacred memorials honoring past soldiers.

POPSHindsight for the young there are some good pieces of advice for anyone graduating from High School. No, not stuffy boring "be a part of productive society" talk. Actually, the opposite in many cases. Enjoy

POPSCoalition Deaths in Iraq This is an interesting website for everyone, regardless of the side you are on. It lists all reported causalities in amazing detail. Personally, I think it's a humbling look at the cost of war and appreciate each and every life given in this conflict. We can all hope there is some good to come out of this, and that their lives were not lost in vain.

POPSDiary of an AOL User This clip reminds me so much of my mother, who will never get rid of her AOL account, no matter how many times I tell her she doesn't need it to go online.

POPSMake your online family tree I just was turned onto this. A very clean format for developing a family tree. The best part is you can start it, and invite the rest of the family to fill in the blanks. It's in beta right now, but I think it's going to be a hit.

POPSSaddam Hussein: Eco-Criminal Just another reminder of who this person was. SO much devastation to the region it still amazes me. I wonder why he wasn't tried for any of these atrocities.
