The largest but most quiet passenger aircraft. It has space for almost 600 passengers, restaurant, shops, swimming pool and elevators. It also reduces costs and pollution because of longer flightrange. The very first one of these just took off from Singapore, heading to Sidney.

This is so cool! First I thought it was hoax but it isn't. First if looked to me it was turning clockwise but then it started to go other direction. Fun and interesting :)

Water forms floating 'bridge' when exposed to high voltage
Amergin
by Amergin  10-3-2007
While it's one of the most important and abundant chemical compounds on Earth, water is still a puzzle to scientists. Much research has been done to uncover the structure of water beyond the H2O scale, which is thought to be responsible for many of water’s unique properties. However, the nature of this structure, governed by hydrogen bonds, is currently unknown.

Eclipse - Libyan desert Sky
syncopath
by syncopath  8-28-2007
in homage to 2day August 28 Eclipse .. ;-) " Waw an Numus Eclipse City is selected as a best place to observe this total solar eclipse. For the eclipse, Colonel Kadafi invited to the Eclipse City about 5000 people who were VIP guests and one of them was the ex-President Clinton. From Japan, 57 eclipse fun visited the same place. As many VIP guest were visited there, our schedule was made large change by Libyan government. Instead of 3 hours drive following the first schedule, we were obliged to run about 1.5 days in the Sahara desert using 6WD buses and arrived at Waw an Numus Eclipse City at last."

Captured Lightning: 2.2 million volt Lichtenberg Figure
zamanikarmana
by zamanikarmana  4-19-2007
The interior of an 18" square x 1" piece of Plexiglas was charged to 2.2 million volts (MV) using a 5 MV particle accelerator. A layer of excess electrons become trapped deep inside, When discharged, the excess charge escaped with a bright flash and a loud bang. The hot, lightning-like discharge created thousands of microscopic fractures inside the acrylic, resulting in a branching "Captured Lightning" sculpture (or Lichtenberg Figure). Read more about how these beautiful objects are made at: http://lichdesc.teslamania.com
