Tea-Party Mentality and Net Neutrality
antoniomilkbud
by antoniomilkbud  3-30-2010    1
"Fox News mentality" folks won't even allow themselves to be asked to consider what they are loudly demanding of others. Normn8or just posted this clip warning that President Obama favors "net neutrality". I commented that he might want to do some research into what that is before he opposes it. (my actual quote was "net neutrality a regulatory suffocation?! You might want to do a little research here before you go down that road." - pretty nasty comment eh?) He removed my offensive comment and blocked me from commenting again. This kind of stubborn refusal to question anything (ANYTHING) that you have come to believe seems to have become the great strength of the anti Obama/ tea-party movement.

I see that certain clippers are still complaining about the "Muslim stamp". I was about to comment until I remembered that I made the mistake of commenting on one of this person's clips (I had the gall to point out that some quotes he had posted were not written by the person he was saying wrote them) so naturally he banned me from commenting further.

'Bullying' religious culture Ineffective
wiccantexan
by wiccantexan  7-29-2007    6
"But is trying to eliminate every other world view the best way to advance the Christian faith? Do believers think that they will win the hearts and minds of people by default? With all due respect to Christian brothers and sisters everywhere, that is a pretty lame approach to evangelism. The need to have beliefs validated by the world around them reveals a nagging underlying insecurity on the part of some people of faith. It seems that unless their world view is constantly affirmed by what they see and hear in the wider culture, they feel threatened, attacked."
