POPSThat's pretend, right? In the spirit of thankfulness and giving, I'd like to remind my fellow Clippers that they can offer hope and rescue to kids in peril. Find a charity that supports children abroad or at home, in a desperate country or in your own neighborhood. Find a cause and support it. It really is true that every single penny helps. It really is true that a single person can make a difference. It really is true that hope is the greatest gift you can give. Give some hope to a child. Thank you.

POPSDrawn from water This organization seems pretty open about how your charitable donation will be used. The organizers do not take money for themselves; therefore, all funds go directly toward caring for the children. How heartbreaking for the parents of these children: send them away or see them killed.

POPSMarch For Islam, YES To Shariah, NO To Geert Wilders! Choudary was given the green light yesterday despite a previous demonstration in which some of his supporters chanted: “Bomb the UK”. Publicity for the march, in the East End, carries 41-year-old Choudary’s personal mobile number and says the aim of the campaign is to “emulate the Prophet and his companions, by calling for Islam and speaking out against the oppression of man-made law”. It says that Britain is full of “disbelievers” who are involved in prostitution, gambling, alcoholism and worshipping other gods.

POPSMoses: When Harriet Tubman Led Her People to Freedom From Q and A with the author (first clip link): Q: What message does Moses impart? Three values lessons can be gleaned from the book. Freedom is a God-given right. God is always with us. And we should always be free to dream. Harriet Tubman’s role in the freedom struggle can give readers a sense of their own potential and power. "Every great dream begins with a dreamer," said Tubman. "Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world."
