About me
Now you understand
Just why my head's not bowed.
I don't shout or jump about
Or have to talk real loud.
When you see me passing
It ought to make you proud.
I say,
It's in the click of my heels,
The bend of my hair,
the palm of my hand,
The need of my care,
'Cause I'm a woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That's me.

Excerpt from Phenomenal Woman by Maya Angelou
Why I use Clipmarks
For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils.

Excerpt from I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud by William Wordsworth

Uncaging my joy
bignosemousie
by bignosemousie  8-28-2008    4
I decided last week that I would like to live more generously. I find that I clutch things (my money, my time, my love) too closely to my breast, and this is from fear. My fear cripples my joy. I am going to uncage my joy.

Read the whole entry. It tugs at my longing for community. I'm just starting to reach out to new neighbors as they move to my street. I have to make the life I want for myself, no matter where I am.

This really seems like such a tender and sweet thing to do for a child. What did the toys do while the child was away? I would love to do this for my daughter one day. I must remember!

Rolling Thunder and why I love the Internet
bignosemousie
by bignosemousie  3-26-2008
I have been trying to find the name of this movie for almost 20 years. All I could remember was the hand in the garbage disposal and the coins. Finally, the right search words led me to this. I started to believe I just made the movie up in my head, as my brother swears he never saw it. I surely wouldn't have watched this on my own; I know it was his idea. LOL! Does anyone remember watching this movie?

I posted this cause it has little flash videos to show how to do the excercises properly. I got in really good shape doing all these - and playing drums! I've fallen very far now and am in horrible shape but I just got the ability to be able to play my drums again - and I've breaking out the ball too! my tip -- get on the ball when watching TV or on the phone -- find a nice comfortable carpeted area and stretch! good luck!
