POPSslow roasted tomatoes I'm thinking of using these tomatoes on a margherita pizza. Of course the idea of having my oven on for 12 hours sends me into a panic. It's still so hot here.

POPSTrue Balsamic Vinegar from The Perfect Pantry. I have heard that you can reduce cheaper balsamic vinegar to create a balsamic syrup. Any one tried this? One of the cutest appetizers I've seen are little cubes of watermelon, with a tiny well (made from a wee melonballer) filled with balsamic syrup.

POPSLet's build a volcano I think I'll do this with my daughter this summer. It is pretty fun to watch. There are many interesting things on this site. It even tells you how to make berry ink and quill pens!

POPSBacon cups, I heart you! How cute is this? Not Martha makes it seem really easy and the result is dramatic. How fun for a dinner party. I can imagine many different fillings for these. Can't you?

POPSRecipe: One of everything lentil soup Use vegetable stock instead to make this vegetarian. I love the idea of lentils, but rarely cook them. I will try this soup, someday. I think it was Bunnicula that first led me to cooking them myself. I miss her clips.

POPSHouston makes a good impression Houston: it's not as bad as you think. (That's should be our city's new slogan). Hee. More about Houston in the article, if you are interested. We have the National Funeral Museum! I've never been because I can't convince anyone to go with me. It's sounds great to me.

POPSCitrus Pancakes The "tip" alone is a good one! Wish I knew that a long time ago. Many recipes tell you not to overmix the batter but never tell you why!
