The Truth About Afghanistan Every American Should Know
    blueridge
    by blueridge  7-24-2008    1
The pre-9/11 plan to invade Afghanistan and the oil pipeline deal behind it, that neither McCain nor Obama will discuss as relevant. Again 9/11 was the pretext for both Iraq and Afghanistan regime change and arranged prior to that "catalyzing event". pre-911: Unocal lavished money and attention on Taliban, flew a senior delegation to Texas Now: Afghanistan just signed a major deal to launch a long-planned, 1680 km long pipeline project expected to cost $ 8 billion. "Mission accomplished". Note the role that Karzai played prior to his installment. Note also how Pakistan fits into this equation which has nothing to do with terrorism. But there are only two practical ways to get gas and oil out of land-locked Central Asia to the sea: through Iran, or through Afghanistan to Pakistan. For Washington, Iran is tabu. That leaves Pakistan, but to get there, the planned pipeline must cross western Afghanistan

Obama's Foreign Policy Goes Neocon--Unjust Wars Will Continue
    blueridge
    by blueridge  7-22-2008    2
The real Obama policy. Must see video interview (at link) where Obama 1) legitimizes the "war on terrorism" (as necessary and true war); 2) escalate war in Afghanistan (regime change, like Iraq continues); 3) willing to attack targets inside Pakistan--i.e. invade any sovereign country to kill and destroy alleged 'terrorists' (think collateral damage on civilians or wrongly accused from missiles and UAV drones). Watch the interview, Obama does not answer one "why?" question of Lara Logan about the "necessity" of the "war on terrorism", he simply dodges and assumes its legitimacy without reason or debate. UNJUST WAR is the problem here. Where is the protest? The "war on terrorism" is not a true or legal constitutional war, and enabling Obama to do the same as Bush without criticism is hypocritical and partisan blindness. It has always been the goal to finish Iraq and legitimize and spread the war on terrorism. Note the media: War = Patriotism

So the government caught bin Laden's driver, we are told to believe, but yet they lost bin Laden? Right! It's all a lie and another show trial for a fictitious account to justify a fake war for regime changes. It is not only Mr Hamdan's future that will be determined by the trial. There is great concern among members of the Bush administration that they too could find themselves before foreign or international courts for the role they played in facilitating and encouraging the torture of detainees. The infamous "torture memos" circulated by Vice-President Dick Cheney's chief of staff, Charles Addington, and two former administration figures, Douglas Feith and Alberto Gonzales, covertly approved the abuse of prisoners by the CIA. These men were publicly warned recently by Lawrence Wilkerson, chief of staff to Colin Powell when Mr Powell was Secretary of State, to "never travel outside the US

US and Iran "Diplomacy" Starts--"Good Cop" Tactic
    blueridge
    by blueridge  7-19-2008
But coercing Iran to stop its nuclear enrichment program is the goal. So earlier we saw "bad cop" war games and rhetoric by US and Israel, and now this multinational "diplomacy" will play "good cop", to force the will of the US and Israel on Iran. That is not diplomacy, and the shift is temporary, for the election season. The result (which might be a goal too) will be that the oil traders will sell and lower oil prices will come (as they already did on first news of this), and this game will probably be played between now and Nov. 5th (to help McCain), and then the war-mongering will start again, and possibly an attack by Israel ( per neocon John Bolton's clipmark earlier ) to force the next President's hand into the conflict. Bush does not change from his neocon advisers blueprint. This pragmatism is for political expediency and economic benefit for election season purposes.

NBC Nightly News tonight had it right (video here) in interview with economist who said oil prices have included an "Iran premium" due to war rhetoric from US and Israel. Immediately the price fell when it looks like diplomacy might open up a bit.

Americans will be economically destroyed if war with Iran is ignited since OPEC says it cannot make up Iran's production.      The Bush regime has insanely reignited the Cold War that Reagan ended! If you were Russia (and read the neocon blueprints for global hegemony) you would see this US-Czech missile deal is clearly designed to circle the wagons around NATO against both Russia and Iran, which will force Russia and Iran to ally...which is a recipe for potential world war! Tell me how this is different than Kruschev setting up missiles in Cuba which sparked the Cuban Missile Crisis when JFK was president. Putin is right, "Provocatory" isn't it?

Ahmadinejad on War and Oil Prices
    blueridge
    by blueridge  7-9-2008    1
The truth is that Ahmadinejad is right on several accounts here, and mainly that war-mongering propaganda is driving up oil prices and devaluing the dollar. He knows that US and Israel are trying to provoke war through propaganda and drills (and covert ops), and is laughing at the game being played while preparing to defend just in case. What he says further on gas and oil prices is interesting: Ahmadinejad said the high oil prices are the result of a weak dollar and a deliberate decision by the United States and some European countries to profit from high fuel taxes. In some European countries, 70 percent of the fuel cost goes to governments as tax, he said. "So it is very clear and obvious that the market does not have a role in raising prices. There are some others that are determining the oil price for the benefit of the few, very rich people of the world,"

An administration uniquely stacked at the top with former oil executives (Bush had his own company with a bin Laden) was surely to get this done. Note this open statement here in even the MSM: U.S. Special Operations Forces have been conducting crossborder operations from southern Iraq since last year Now how would the US or any country react if foreigners were invading your country and committing covert acts of espionage and proxy warfare by stealth? You would consider it an act of war, wouldn't you? This is proof of how much the US is doing to provoke Iran into war, and how much restraint Iran has actually had.

Israel and Oil Prices--"Geopolitical" Factors Ignored
    blueridge

Israel threatens Iran, oil sets new record high. See the pattern? It happens every time they threaten, or the US does. All these articles show on google search and are dated June 2008, now oil prices are up to $140 per barrel. Yet no one is talking about war-mongering as a factor in high oil prices, even though Iran is the 4th largest exporter in the world. As some would say...Duh! It is not a supply issue. Repeating for the upteenth time, high gas prices are due to: 1. speculative trading 2. dollar devaluation 3. geopolitical issues (war, rumors of war, US war policy, Israel) 4. government debt, increased money supply, war spending. These all tie together and started oil's price surge when the Iraq war began, and not before. War policy drives oil up on the trade floor.

This is quite a contrast to his "Bom, bom, bom...bomb, bomb Iran" to the Beach Boys segment here. Will the real John McCain please stand up? Going into war with Iraq had nothing to do with "keeping the country I love safe", whatsoever, unless you still believe Iraq was behind 9/11 and possessed WMD. These are neoconservative wars planned in advance of 9/11 and James Woolsey and Bill Kristol (key neocon and PNAC members) are among his advisers, and his foreign policy is called "rogue state roll-back"--i.e. more wars for democracy!

The mentality of Americans in 2002 before the war was, "so what...they deserve it, nuke 'em, because they are terrorists". Jessica Lynch had that mentality about all Iraqis after her return, even though an Iraqi saved her life. Even after the war started the U.S. was fighting "terrorists" in Iraq, a totally untrue statement. Sick, it's just sick. For every US soldier that suffers from this, there are thousands of Iraqis. West Virginia, Rogue State Formed Unlawfully

It's West Virginia Day June 20th. The state was formed illegally by a minority insurrection 145 years ago. Beautiful state, but with an unlawfully formed government. This is lifted from West Virginia's own archives. History records the controversy. "there is no evidence that the majority of people within the counties which were to compose the new state had ever given its assent to its formation." Fruits of the Civil War, "Old Dominion" Virginia was ripped in half. Virginia has never officially recognized the rogue state of West Virginia in law. Lincoln himself called it merely "expeditious", not legal. Lincoln and Congress had no more authority to permit the state anymore than Bush could authorize West Pennsylvania or Northern California. During the Civil War those who supported the Yankee Union position were called "anti-Virginians". State's rights was greatly trampled which the Constitution itself in the 10th amendment defends. It's been rougher eve

(Could the present U.S. government be one of a Union by force, a tyranny, an empire?) Now you only hear alot of talk, and outright lies, about how all soldiers in all wars "fought for our freedom". Pardon me for being intellectually honest--no they all did not! The truth is that since the Civil War, Americans have not been fighting to defend America's freedom but an empirical agenda toward global Democracy. Pat Buchanan is about to complete a new book about WWII called the Unnecessary War, which is sure to stir the fires of the real "historical revisionism" fed to everyone in public schools. The Iraq war is not to defend America's freedom any more than Wilson or Roosevelts.      The oil companies have reduced the number of refineries of their own free will, and this article proves that there is no shortage of refinery capacity, since U.S. consumption is now falling. It is not a supply and demand problem. Oil prices are inflated due to weak dollar and war fears, period, end of argument. Bush had to make a show of seeing the Saudi King, a pretense of asking for them to supply more. Bush's relations with the Saudis is strong and Bush knows the oil business since he has Arbusto Oil company (with one of the bin Laden brothers). He knew the answer before he went but it was necessary to blame OPEC and prove that Bush himself was not at fault.      This refutes a lot of talk about OPEC and such causing high oil and gas prices. It also explains higher prices on consumer goods, not just driven by fuel prices alone. The dollar is becoming as valued as the paper its printed on, which (this articles does not go into) is because of national indebtedness for heavy war spending, as Ron Paul pointed out during his campaigning. Traders and speculators in the investment community are increasingly buying oil futures for their portfolios and war fears (i.e. war on terrorism, middle east war-mongering) increase price on the trade floor, period.
