The neat thing about Maruícios work is that I know people with the characteristics that he puts in his creations. They represent a nice cross-section of Brazilian culture.

POPSMaricio de Sousa creates Japanese Character I love de Sousa's work. I learned Portuguese reading Monica, Cebolinha, and Cascão--althought my all-time favorite character is Chico Bento. His work gave me some good insights into Brazilian culture as well.
