POPSSaving for Retirement? Apparently Not... This is a scary report on CNN Money about just how few people are saving for retirement. I'm 24 and I already am scared about retirement and how much I am actually going to need to survive. I have some money saved thus far but it's going to take a lot more than I have now to get there. All I know is that my generation could be in a lot of trouble when it comes time to leave the workforce.

POPSUbuntu 7.04 Delayed Unfortunately there has been a setback in the release of the new Ubuntu version release candidate and it looks like it might delay the final as well. I'm really looking forward to this new release and I only hope that the final is out on schedule.

POPSPreachers Wife Says Husband was "Too Good" So since when does your husband being too good lead someone to shoot them? This woman is clearly either not telling the whole story or she is essentially admitting she did not have a reason for killing him but doesn't want to say that directly. If this defense is all she has to offer then she should get at least life in prison for the death of her husband.

POPSIndiana Jones 4 I'm still not too sure about this movie, I own the original movies and I am not sure that this is going to work all that well. For one Harrison Ford is a lot older and I'm not sure if people will like seeing an older Indiana Jones.

POPSOscar Time: The Razzies Ah it's that time of year again when we get to watch all of the movie stars wander down the red carpet. I personally prefer to read about this year's Golden Raspberry Awards and who was considered the worst in film. It is much more entertaining and at least this way I don't need to hear about the $20,000 goodie bags that people are getting for attending the Oscars when they don't need anything else ever.

POPSApologizing for Slavery Too Little Too Late Is this a joke? Apparently Virgina doesn't seem to think so, but it seems like it to me. What good does apologizing for slavery and the exploitation of native Americans do now? This kind of thing falls into the "too little, too late" category of political maneuvering. First of all there is not going to be one person that would go on record for not supporting the resolution even though I bet there are some people in the state government that are not all that sorry, and secondly what good does our regret do today when the irreversible damage has been done? What needs to happen is a push for more racial and ethnic tolerance across the country rather than states making themselves feel better by issuing regret resolutions. This helps no one but themselves and I would suggest that they do more to affect real change than toot their own horns.

POPSObama not ready for the race? I find it interesting that just because someone is actually using their own words and not trying to play the stupid political games in Washington means that they are not ready to be president. I would welcome someone in the White House who actually said what they meant.

POPSForget MP3... We Patented it Apparently someone managed to get a broad patent approved for the mp3 player concept. When will we ever get the patent reform we need?
