Jerusalem rabbi school killings. UN condemn?
    citizenbfk
    by citizenbfk  3-7-2008    3
I agree with Libya and the others who stopped this from becoming a one-sided resolution (despite the support of Canada, the USA and the EU). Why was there no move for such a UN resolution last week when Israeli killed 120 Palestinians civilians?? Or why no such resolution when that Russian school was taken over and many killed a few years ago. Why not a resolution about school shooting in the USA and other nations by deranged individuals? The POINT is we have an undue and excessive focus on Israel and are totally one-sided in our attitudes. Are 120 Palestinian dead last week somehow less important than 8 Israeli dead this week? Israel invaded these Arab lands in 1947, if you don't know, and one of the consequences of 60 years of invasion is hate, war, and murder. And as Canada, the USA and the EU watch over a million people in Gaza being starved to death in front of our eyes the UN does nothing. Now the UN is concerned?

And Bush just returned from Israel last week, with all the bull*hit words of yada yada blagh blagh peace bull*shit they've been feeding us for decades. The elections can come soon enough. Sorry Gaza. Really sorry.

Latest Pretense for Two-State Solution & Middle East Peace
    citizenbfk

Here's how Israel's 'fart-in-your-face" diplomacy works: A week before the Great Decider/The Peacemaker George Bush arrives (and this was done last year with Coni Rice's visit, and the year before that, etc.) -- well, a week before the start of the Great Peace Deal, Israel expands it's settlements, it starts construction in the Arab half of Jerusalem, it announces there is no Arab half of Jerusalem, it shuts off fuel deliveries and electricity to Gaza, tightens the blocakde and progresses with the slow starvation of over a million people right in front of our eyes, continues with collective punishment attacking whole vilages for the actions of a few. It then gets a deal, part of which the Arabs give up something (right of return) and the part of the deal where they have to give up something (the expansion beyond the 67 borders) is never honored, never intended to be honor, and will later be defaulted due to "ongoing Arab terrorism." (i.e. one suicide bomber, or whatever).

"Hillary haters," and now/today - hostage taking terrorist
    citizenbfk
    by citizenbfk  11-30-2007
This 'Hillary Haters," article is two days old. The hostage taking of campaign workers at her New Hampshire Presidential Campaign HQ is two hours ago. What to say? One thing to note is that warmongers, fascist, most Republicans, zionist, neo-cons, nazi's, KKK folks, etc. --- people with hate in their hearts -- are not nice. They don't play by the rules. They can be mean, ruthless, violent and destructive. Thus it's always difficult for "nice people," people who like the idea of developing alternative energy rather than killing over oil, or people who don't like USA torturing, believe in habius corpus rights, feels bad about helping the slow starvation and collective punishments of Gaza, etc....well, it's tought. "nice people," have to be as tough as "bad people." That sort of sucks but it's living in dreamland not to realize it. Obama life has been threatened. Now Hillary's headquarters attacked. We need to elect better leaders. http://www.americancitizenstogether.org

    Hardships increase in isolated Gaza
    citizenbfk
    by citizenbfk  11-11-2007
The focus of the article is actually about how students enrolled in foreign schools (in the USA, EU, etc.) are not allowed to leave the country to go to school. Nobody is allowed into Gaza. Nobody is allowed out., Food, medical supplies, electricity and gas, etc. are all restricted. There's a good dose of propaganda in the article too. Some group in Israel claims to be taking this to the Supreme Court (yippie!) and a government spokesmen promises that what he calls a "humanitarian crisis," will not be allowed to happen.

Gaza power cut off: Collective punishment
    citizenbfk
    by citizenbfk  10-26-2007    5
This is an act of slow, deliberate genocide not to mention icollective punishment. It's like having your electricity, water supplies, food and medical supplies all slowly reduced and strangled because someone else robbed a bank. Hideous behavior. Unjust. So while the US was debating about Armenian genocide a 100 years ago we ignore the genocide right before our eyes. While this goes on, also the US threatens war on allegations and accusations that Iran intends to have a nuclear weapon in 3 or 4 or 5 years while Iran denies U.S. accusations that its uranium enrichment program is aimed at developing nuclear weapons, saying it is only for civilian energy purposes. The mantra: Iran has nuclear weapon ambitons while the lies of Weapons of Mass Destruction still echo in our ears!? Asking for justice here is like sheep asking wolves for mercy. We need to elect better leaders and kick these bad leaders out of their jobs. http://www.americancitizenstogether.org

Primetime case of US rendition (kidnapping) & torture.
    citizenbfk
    by citizenbfk  10-19-2007
Yes, the USA does torture. It also kidnaps people and sends them to countries who torture more severely. The last sentence of this article calls this 'tough interrogation.' Yesterday at US Senate confirmation hearings for a possible new Attorney General he was asked if he approved of torture. He said no. But then he was asked if so-called 'waterboarding,' (forcing water down someone's throat to the point of nearly drowning them) was torture. He said he didn't know. Maybe it was just 'tough interrogation.' As one of the Bush lies declares: "We don't torture.' What a joke. And what pretense that the USA stands for any moral values when the reality is Oil Fever (and Israeli expansion even if it means killing a million in Gaza Strip). It's sort of like having a Queen who's all pretty and dressed up and says sweet things but her nation is really a nation of pirates and bloody cutthroats. (no offense....just the clearest example I could think of).

Israel Screws Gaza Again. Rice Offers Charade for Peace
    citizenbfk
    by citizenbfk  9-19-2007    7
As we see this collective punishment and genocide happen in front of our very own eyes it's dawning more and more on me that 'being respectful,' or going along with the wordplay, charades and pretenses of our government can no longer be a viable option: They are warmongers full of hate, lies, excuses and one charade after another. Plus, the blantant Israeli insult of even the USA pretenses for Israeli-Palestinian peace or solution is too rude to tolerate. While Sec. of State Condi Rice is in the air, flying to Israel to pretend to talk about peace, Israel makes it clear that it's increasing it's hostilities. !? Thinking about this I've realized that although it may seem small but the Only Way to avoid COMPLICITY in this genocide...in the Senate's today's support of indefinite detention, tortune, etc. is simply: TO SPEAK OUT. We often can't change things. But SILENCE would be supporting these policies. So...speak out. Say something to someone.

Embargo and depravations in Gaza Renewed

This slow starvation of the people of Gaza is happening right before our eyes.No jobs. No resources. No raw materials. No food or medical imports. No travel allowed or else hindered in everyway. No electricity. No water purification. No trash pickup, etc. Most of us would be very distressed if our Internet connection was down for a day, or if we had Skype and it crashed like it did last week. But here we can see the basic needs and underpins of a society being ripped away one by one. Nothing spectular. No mass murder to make the news. Just the grim reality of one owning a home, a farm, having a job, having schools and hospitals and then, step-by-step, losing one thing at a time and next thing you're a refugee with a pack on your back or carrying your last possessions in a black plastic trash bag, sleeping on cardboard, hungry, thirsty, no bathrooms, no showers and on this dusty road missiles & mortars rain down on your head and heart. Of course, we're told we're just killing terroris
