POPSStewart 'Saves' Oscars??! Really??? I like Jon Stewart, i do...but i don't think he's the right fit for the most 'festive' night in hollywood.. I think he has a very condescending attitude which often made me feel like he was mocking the event. However, i had to include the last line in this clip-- i thought it was hysterical...but i do miss the Billy Crystal days.. he made the night feel like it was special.

POPSThe Bucket List- a flop in the making? i'm so bummed about this review- i was thinking this was going to a well needed smash. Rob Reiner directing Jack and Morgan seemed like such a magical combo.. this is the first review i'm seeing- so who knows, maybe all others will say otherwise..but for now.. BUMMER!!!

POPSMovie Review- HOAX i saw this last night- i had low expectations b/c aside from Pretty Woman, I'm not particularly a Richard Gere fan-- at first i wasn't really sold- the movie seemed a bit outlandish-- however, after sticking with it I found it to be quite enjoyable. The story is so absurd it's hard to believe it-- but knowing that it was based on a true story kept me into it--- i wouldn't give it an "A" like entertainment weekly- but all in all- very good movie-- and what a crazy story!

POPSOscar Nods are in..Dreamgirls lead, but not for best picture I am really surprised dreamgirls is doing as well as it is-- i do think Eddie Murphy & Jennifer Hudson were really good, but still....this was movie was not surrounded by overall excellence..i suppose that is why they were left out of the best pic category....just surprised it's gotten so much attention.

POPSSpike Lee to Direct James Brown biopic not to minimize James Brown...but i just think it's funny that this announcement comes the day after he dies....we live in a big fat marketing world! Even death is a marketing opportunity..

POPSBorat-blockbuster smash....'excellent' "If there is any justice Sacha Baron Cohen will walk away with this year's Academy Award for best actor, Pamela Anderson on his arm. Maybe someone should throw in a Pulitzer for undercover reporting, too." I've been personally rebelling about seeing this film- not really my speed..but the reviews are speaking very loud-- i think i have to check it out...soon!!

POPSBorat-- going to be a smash at the box office Who woulda thought it-- Borat is going to be a big hit-- and is getting really 'niiiiiice' reviews. Looks like it's going to be a our end of the year comedy gem. The whole world is going to be talking like Borat soon-- it will be like when Austin Powers swept the universe!

POPSGeorge Lucas to donate $175MIL to USC ah.. to be THIS rich..i'd like to see where else his dollars are going-- i understand his passion for film-- but i wonder in a time when the world is in such bad shape, if he's donating these dollars to any other worthy causes.

POPSSuperman - big at box office anyone see this yet? It's on my to do list.. not sure if it will happen this weekend, but reviews seem excellent. initial #'s are nothing compared to spidermans $40mil on its first day...but nothing shabby about $21 mil either...number 8 on the all time list with a wed openning.

POPSCasablanca greatest script of all time i'm embarassed to say i've never seen this movie. It's now the #1 movie i must rent- it's mentioned in so many movies, so many tv shows, so many books.. i kinda just assumed i knew the story.. but it receives so much attention, i think i must bite the bullet and just watch it! Seems like i've been missing out this whole time.

POPSDixie Chicks.. back at it, but still taking heat for political comment i think it's so incredibly absurd that you can't have a voice if you are famous in this country unless of course it's a supportive voice...i don't think there is one thing wrong with what Maines said regarding Bush...is it OK when Susan Sarandon speaks out? Are we all boycotting her movies? What's the big deal? She voiced her opinion on our president.. BIG DEAL?!!!
