About me
I am happily married with 5 children, including one set of twins. I was born and raised in Wisconsin. After living in Florida for 6 years and having 2 children there my wife and I decided to move back to Wisconsin so our children could be raised around family. Aside from working on clipmarks, I love to cook and build things with wood.
Why I use Clipmarks
I use Clipmarks because it's the easiest way for me to organize and share information I post and find on the internet. Aside from that, I love the community, it's like a second family to me.

World record remote control car jump.

by djkraz  5-12-2010
I have an RC car similar to these (though it's got a lot of dust on it these days) and I can tell you that when you get that kind of power behind these things, it's nearly impossible to go straight let alone land a jump of any kind. Nice job!

I finally get to watch a Packers game and wow, what a game!
djkraz
by djkraz  1-11-2010    1
I have to admit that I'm a little upset about the no calls as most packers fans are but honestly, they never should have had the chance to get that far in the first place. If our defense would have sucked any less, we would have had the game in the bag and it never would have come down to a penalty in overtime making the difference. I thank Arizona's kicker for giving us a second chance but I have to admit I did feel pretty bad for him... I really feel bad for the packers offense though. If only they had the defense to back them up. Then again, we can all talk big but when it comes down to it, none of us are actually in there playing the game...

Wow, what a story! I'm partial to tree's because I love working with wood and being involved with scouts gives you a new respect for them but I think anyone will find this story, well, many emotions for me...moving, inspiring, saddening... I highly recommend you read the whole story at the source.

LED traffic lights are too efficient? It would seem so!
djkraz
by djkraz  12-17-2009    3
It turns out that they don't produce enough heat to melt snow like there older, less efficient, brothers and thereby causing traffic accidents. Who would of thought? It will be interesting to see how they solve this one.. I would imagine some sort of temperate/moisture meter that triggers a heating element?

by djkraz  12-13-2009    1
I've been looking into this Light o Rama quite a bit lately and it looks like it's pretty cool stuff though this is the first interactive version I've seen. I'd like to see it done with some more intense music but for a first round this is pretty awesome. For those that don't know, Light o Rama is a light controller designed for controlling ornamental lighting like this. You can find some pretty amazing displays on youtube if you look around.

USB ports built right into the outlet...it's about time!
djkraz
by djkraz  12-8-2009
I would imagine these will be very expensive but when you figure most name brand adapters are no less than $20 these probably won't be overly priced at $40. Obviously you couldn't retrofit your entire house with them (unless money isn't an object) but if you replaced the commonly used ones with them it would probably be worth it.

Is this what Black Friday has come to?
djkraz
by djkraz  12-4-2009
This is ridiculous! How did someone not stop this person before they got so much piled up above that poor kid? I really hate Black Friday! It truly brings out the worst in everyone and the retail industry has tried to make it out to be such a great time when in fact it's complete and total madness. Sure most people don't put there children in danger like this but how many put themselves in danger just to get to the hot item of the year? Has there been a single Black Friday in the past several years that we have not heard about someone getting trampled or a major fight breaking out? The sad part is that we only hear about the worst one! My wife goes every year at 4:30AM and I always get to hear the stories about the insane people... It's a non stop fight for the right to say you got the best deal. Seriously, you don't need that one "hot" item that bad. Go buy 3 other things instead for less money that are on sale as well and save yourself the hassle and I bet the person that

by djkraz  11-16-2009
That is absolutely insane! Obviously this is just an estimate since there are no computers that even compare, but it's still pretty crazy to think about. That's as much power as what a small hydroelectric plant produces.

Cybraphon - An emotional autonomous band!

by djkraz  7-29-2009
First I have to say that I really love the sound of mechanical bands such as this so that does way on my feelings about it. That said, it's not the best sounding I've heard but it has to be the best implementation I've seen yet. I love the fact that it's mood is affected by things such as it's friend count on myspace and the number of results on google about it. In fact, me posting this will put it in a better mood and therefore it will play more upbeat music! Sounds like a lot of people I know who's moods are way to affected by there online "status".
