POPSThe Zero Carbon Caravan ...many people simply do not believe that such a world is possible, so they need a good example giving a practical demonstration of what is possible. This is where the Zero Carbon Caravan comes in (here the word ‘caravan’ is used in the sense of a group of people traveling together, rather than a metal box towed behind a car.) Maltese Falcon (290ft), and co., photo RobertGalbraithWe will demonstrate how it is possible to travel, work and play all without generating any carbon emissions at all. We will provide a positive, inspiring vision of the future, where, instead of merely consuming, we lead fulfilling lives.

POPSThe Puzzle of Frozen Gas I read "The Puzzle of Frozen Gas", page 30 Maclean's June 30/08 while waiting for my wife in a Dr.'s office. Got me doing a bit of research. Looks like methane from gas hydrates is an even bigger global warming threat than CO2.

By the time 2050 rolls around, most of the modelers will be dead."

I'm NOT an engineer, but it occurs to me that if potholes are created by a cycle of thawing and freezing of standing water, then pavement that allows water to pass right through might be a problem. I found this

POPSThe Global Warming Spin So, who do we believe? I've seen Gore's film, "An Inconvenient Truth". It looks thorough and believeable to me.
