POPSGoogle buys Jaiku (a twitter competitor) I'm a huge twitter fan and so haven't checked out Jaiku, but from what I understand it's basically the same idea. You send and receive short updates with your list of friends. Very interesting that the big G swooped in and picked up Jaiku and not Twitter. Maybe Biz & Ev weren't looking to sell?

POPSAnyone with a good local pharmacy, help! I called our awesome local pharmacy in Astoria to see if they had any on the shelves, as they've been keeping me in plenty of my trusted real abuterol (with CFCs, but it works better), but no luck on the Cylert. If you have a good local pharmacy that you think might stock Cylert (aka Pemoline), or are in another country which hasn't banned it, please call to see if there is any available. If there is, contact Len directly through his twitter account or comment here and I'll get in touch with him. The phonecall to my local pharmacy took 5 min. Please take a few minutes if you can, it could save a life!

I'm always amazed by the great clips that find their way there, but this one literally made me guffaw here in the office. That's got to be one of the most clickable links I've ever seen. POPSCreate your own Simpsons Avatar A bunch of my friends on twitter started showing up with Simpsons avatars yesterday. Scott Beale solved the mystery of where they were all getting them - the Simpsons Movie website has a great flash avatar creator.

POPSHelp send Noneck Noel around the world My good friend Noel is planning to spend the next 7 months seeing the world. He's going to be bringing 2 important things with him. First, he'll be bringing his love of all things open - open conferences, open-source software, etc, demonstrating how people can accomplish amazing things by helping each other. Second, he'll be bringing his camera, and sharing the things that he sees and learns with the rest of us. I don't know if he'll make it to everything he plans to, but I'm anxious to see where Noel's journey takes him and watch as he goes. It's only 11.11 to chip in, I'm doubling down on the luck of seven myself tonight :)
