 Extensions and themes also spent a lot of memory, so just let installed the ones that you really need. And don't forget to update your plugins (Adobe Reader, Flash, Java, etc) to the most recent version, to avoid bugs ;) Remember: Firefox is very flexible and you could always try to change the about:config settings to make it better/faster/harder, but be sure that you known what you doing, ok?
