POPSAnother smart move Clearly this is a good idea. You can tell because it's endorsed by one of the key players in the Iran-Contra affair. The Reagan administration casts long shadows.

POPSI had no idea... Apparently you don't throw up in a vomitorium at all. It's just a way for you to get out! I suppose you still could throw up there, but it's not encouraged.

POPSShould I homeschool? This article has already been clipped by someone else, I can't remember who. Frankly, I reclipped it to show that it has got a massive conservative bent. I think there probably are a couple of good reasons to homeschool, individualizing attention on students is fantastc. However, the homeschooling mentions here reinforces negative 50s era family styles where the woman, even though she's doing the educating, has everything second guessed by the father. It enforces patriotism which can be dangerous and ugly. Then there's the religious craziness you can force on people. I also liked how children both "enjoy the innocence of childhood longer" and "acquire 'adult' mentality" earl on. And finally, you're not supposed to be friends with your parents. They're supposed to be your parents. You can be friendly with your parents but it shouldn't be a friendship. It's different.

POPSBush Immigration I rarely find myself agreeing with Bush; however, this is one case where I'm (almost) on board with him. I agree with the idea of honoring our history as a nation of immigrants. I agree with protecting the illegal immigrants already here. I don't necessarily agree with heightened border control as that tends to restrict our own movement and makes something of a police state.

POPSGore V. Think Tank Nothing's what it seems. There's more "dirt" in the article on Gore, I recommend reading it.

POPSMove to New York Smart! Planning on moving? Do these things. I think the most of them work even if it's not for NYC. "Tunneling" is taking your current situation and using it to build to your next job/hobby/move or whatever.
