POPSBritney Spears 'Attemtped Rehab Suicide' I don't know how true this is. I do know if this girl is in rehab, it's obvious she needs help. She obviously needs to detox. That much is certain. How much of her behavior is postpartum depression, who knows. I just hope this poor girl, who grew up way too fast in my opinion, gets all the help she needs before it's too late.

POPS9 Year Old Boy Held In Terrorism Detention Center If they lived in Canada all their lives and had no intention of coming here, I say this is a clear case of way overreacting. They tried going home to Iran, was beaten for it, and ended up trying to run back to Canada. They were trying to get political asylum. No one could have seen what would have happened to cause the plane to divert to the states (if you read the article, you'll see what I'm talking about.) Because of that, the whole family is stuck in a detention center. Seriously people. Stop freaking out. At the site is a letter to the Canadian Prime Minister in crayon that is heartbreaking.

POPSJudge Rules Goldmans Get O.J.'s Royalties About damn time. This is a step in the right direction. Hopefully a judge will rule they can collect the book advance as well and they can keep fighting for future earnings if need be for the remaining moneys they're owed.

POPSTeacher Hit And Kicked 5th Graders In Gym Class Aren't we a big lady on campus to start kicking 10 year olds. What is it with adults in authority these days assaulting children. I'm sure they know better. If they can't handle the stress, don't take the j-o-b! Simple as that.

POPSJunk Filled House Condemned By Town I posted about this woman a couple days ago when she caused a car accident. Her car was filled to the roof with trash. POPSJet Blue Passengers Nightmare At JFK; Stuck For Hours On Tarmack Unbelievable. I think my patience would have been to the limit as well. I have an autistic daughter. I cannot even imagine going through this with her. She has NO patience for even for a simple 30 minute doctors appointment with toys and coloring books brought to keep her occupied. This would have been pure hell. These poor families.

POPSLuggage Handlers Arrested For Theft Why am I not at all shocked by this? If they're not stealing it, they're usually bashing it around when it's marked fragile. I remember one time sitting next to the window watching them load one of my bags that had a fragile sticker on it. They just threw it in with as much force as they could muster instead of gently placing it in. Sure enough as soon as the plane landed and I got my bag, everything was smashed inside. I learned my lesson after that. (First time flying way back in the early 90's.)

POPSNYC To Open Arabic School I actually find this fascinating and wish this every success. It's a shame we don't have similar schools for other cultures as well, Spanish, French, Irish (mine), Hungarian (mine as well), among many, many others. It would give many students a way to get in touch with their culture and their elders. If the school would invite some elderly from the home countries these schools are teaching about, it would be a way to connect the youth to the elderly and maybe a bit more respect in today's society. Just a thought. And if not a whole school devoted to it, maybe a few classes, or half days devoted to it. Something to think about.

POPSWizardry Book In School Upsets Some Parents I can see the point one parent is trying to make. Wizardry is considered a religion to some, and you can't check out a Bible or Koran at school, but the school didn't order this book as a religious book, they ordered it a fun book for kids to read and they saw no harm, no foul. So I also see the school's point of view. Tough call I say. I'm on the fence with this one. Thoughts?
