POPSPower supplies and 12V rails Not all PSUs are created equal, though many are hyped in the same fashion. Some of my friends like to cut corners on their PSUs, I don't. Clipped this to remind myself of the folly of such a thing, and how to calculate the amps available on a +12V rail.

POPSDo I have to "Safely Remove Hardware" always? My friends would normally have a heart attack if I pulled my pendrive from their machines without "stopping" the device first. I knew that USB was designed to be hot pluggable/unpluggable, and I think I read somewhere that it was OK to do that with pendrives, so I've always done that without incident. However, my memory is not what it was, so I decided to look for info and save this clip for future reference.

POPSIE PNG Fix and background-position problem I noticed that this problem also happens in IE7 (how I hate that browser, no matter the version). If I use the PNG Fix so that transparent PNGs render properly in IE6, I can't use said PNGs with background-position in either IE6 or IE7.
