Palm Oil and the Multi-Million Dollar Global-Warming Industry of FOE & Greenpeace
hirokojiayi
by hirokojiayi  7-10-2009
Global warming is a multi-billion dollar industry! The most expensive secret you’re not supposed to know is that George W. Bush leaves office with the planet cooler than when he entered. This dangerous trend threatens the multi-billion dollar “global warming” industry, adding new urgency to the ritual shriek of “we must act now!” in the scramble to impose a costly regime of mandates and energy taxes.

Palm Oil Critics: Wither Art Thou When the Snow Fell in Spring?
hirokojiayi
by hirokojiayi  7-10-2009
It was a cool spring morning as I drove along the I 15 Freeway in early March 2009 heading towards San Bernardino near Los Angeles. Feeling that the morning cool was too good to miss, I pressed the button switch on my Mustang to bring the auto-canvas roof of the car down to enjoy the cool morning breeze. Approaching Barstow, I felt a sudden deluge of snowflakes, wet and cold on my face. “This can’t be happening,” I thought to myself as it was already early spring.

This subliminal line in a rich baritone intonation rings out most cryptically through the video games machine in the video arcade in Fort Lauderdale as I watch the heavily tattooed teen deeply engrossed in his titanic battles with the forces of evil in the video game. “How very apt in describing the state of the environmental movement today,” I thought to myself.

The Truth About Palm Oil *Landmark Article
hirokojiayi
by hirokojiayi  7-10-2009
Palm oil is produced from the fruit of the Elaeis guineensis tree. It is a vegetable oil, not an animal or dairy product, and therefore does not contain cholesterol. Palm oil sometimes is confused with palm kernel oil, but in fact is quite different, being made from the mesocarp of the palm fruit rather than the hard center kernel. Palm oil contains much less saturated fat than palm kernel or coconut oil.

It would appear that it would be difficult to miss 2,000 red apes swinging in the trees, but that is precisely what happened in Indonesian Borneo. The National Geographic News reports that conservationists have discovered 219 orang utan nests whilst combing through Indonesian Borneo’s East Kalimantan Province. The scientists surmised that the nests indicate that up to 2,000 new red apes could be living in 2 million hectares of rainforests in the rugged mountains of Indonesian Borneo.

hese are the words of Anderson Cooper as he presented his CNN special on his AC360 program called “Planet in Peril: Battle Lines” in December 2008: “It is an odd sensation. Lowering yourself into water teeming with great white sharks. There is a cage between you and the sharks, but its open on the top, and when the first shark emerges from the shadows, moving full speed toward you, its giant mouth open, revealing rows of razor sharp teeth, the cage is little comfort.
