US Marine Sniper, training in Kaneohe, Hawaii. I've done 3 tours in Afghanistan and am now back in paradise happy to see my country with a Commander in Chief most Marines feel proud and honored to salute and serve. I workout, train in boxing, Jiu-Jitsu, MMA, love to shoot, fight, but am also proud to be a liberal, in favor or strict gun control, pro-choice, well-read, love Thomas Mann, Wolf, Joyce, Dawkins, Dennett, Hofstadter, and most of all Tolkien. I am proud to serve my country and have no regrets.

Funny, with a strong leader, we are focusing in on where we should have been all along. And take it from a grunt who's served 3 tours in Afghanistan. This is where we need to be.

It’s a great tool for those perfectly curious moments of happenstance and serendipity where I feel I just have to share. For most of my buddies and friends, and even my wife to some extent, (I love them all and would take a bullet for any of them) there are some things that they either wouldn't find interesting, couldn't believe I found interesting, and to be honest, would not totally comprehend. So, I guess I use this because I connect with intellectual, ironic, and progressive people who, for the time being, serve as great surrogate friends.
