POPSDolphin Tagging Off NC/SC Coasts This sounds like a great program. Hope it works because they really are one of the best gamefish out there and we should do whatever we can to prevent overfishing of this species.

POPSNC To Go Smoke-Free? Looks like NC is try to make the move towards a smoke free work environment for all establishments. Being a former smoker, it won't bother me much, but I know several people that it will. I'm all for making places smoke free, as long as they set aside a special area that patrons can easily access. Or even making it a requirement to place a special ventilation unit above a designated smoking area at establishments that do allow smoking inside their facility.

POPSMan Hospitalized After Possible Lightning Strike I was stuck in my car during this storm and lightning was everywhere. I could actually feel the reverberations through my feet on the floorboard. It was a pretty bad storm. This is just another reminder to myself not to use my cellphone during these storms.

POPSJolie, Pitt To Adopt Again I think that one of the great things about this actress is that she gives 1/3 of her income to a better cause. I'm sure it's very rewarding to see how you can help out those more unfortunate that yourself.

POPSTourist Dies From Fall At Yellowstone This is a very sad incident to have happen, especially being her husband and children witnessed it. But that's what they put walls and fences up at the park, to prevent things like this from happening.

POPSSign The Petition To Save Emerald Isle's Last Pier Help save this pier from being torn down! If condos go up, we'll lose the last available access for enjoying fishing and more with our friends and family at Emerald Isle. I already lost my favorite campsite at the beach to condos, don't take away our last pier!

POPSMale Student Barred From Prom Because He Wore A Dress If the school was trying to "protect" the students at the prom from seeing a male student decked out in a dress, then why did they allow him to do so throughout the school year? I'm sure if there was a problem with him and his fellow students, they'd have made him stop earlier.

POPSDog Owners Must Change Habits Or Be Fined I'm happy to hear that a town near me has taken measures to protect "man's best friend." I personally live in an apartment, so my labrador retriever stays inside all the time. But for those who keep their animals chained outside for days on end are going to have to change their habits. It's too hot outside nowadays. People may complain and say, "what am I going to do now?", but come on people. Would you want to be chained to a tree all day long, in the summer heat? I'm sure their answer would be no.

POPSSome Iraq War Vets Homeless After Return Home This is pretty sad that our gov't doesn't do what they can to support our troops after their return home. It reminds me of the homeless Vietnam Vets that used to live in the woods not far from my house when I lived in S. Florida.
