POPSObama's Safe Schools Czar Tied to Lewd Readings for 7th Grade What took Fox so long to report this? I've been reading about this guy for over a week! Someone wants to comfort sexually confused children (mostly thanks to the current culture they are growing up in), fine...do it. Just leave the rest of the innocents alone whose hardest thing they're dealing with is remembering to bring in their homework. The very WORST is that this man has such oversight. Parents...guard your children.

Some Americans do not have confidence in the American system of Justice, the efforts of local law-enforcement (they're overwhelmed), or the ability to maintain personal security. It's not just rural areas; it's regular folks who are taking responsibility for their own family's protection because the criminal element has become too large for law enforcement to handle. We receive, almost weekly, reports of criminal activity in our own neighborhood. Thankfully, the local police send out the reports, but we have to be aware of them and safeguard of property and children.

POPS#2 Senate Democrat 'in the dark' about health care bill AMAZING??? Can they stop now!! Just stop! Sen. Durbin blames the Congressional Budget Office saying that ""We may find that something that was sent over there doesn't work at all, doesn't fly,". "They may say this is not going to work, start over.'" Yes indeed. Start over. Send Sen. Reid home to be ousted from the Senate by his state. Let the air out of Sen. Pelosi's head and put some actual medical people, insurance companies, doctors on the committees and make some practical changes that will actually help our citizens...NOT throw the entire Health Care community into disarray and bankruptcy. Start with Tort Reform if anyone is truly serious. When Durbin admits he's 'in the dark'; the one whose been in on the secret meetings, then you know it's really, really bad.

When the call began (whenever?) to "Get the US out of the UN & the UN out of the US", it should have been heeded. Corruption abounds and it's tentacles are in every continent. POPSObama calls for rebates for consumers...to be more energy efficient I can tell you from experience. We have added a new roof, new insulation, new 'energy-efficient' windows, lowered our thermostat....with zero results. During the hot months of July-Sept and the cold months of Dec- Feb. our utility bills are still near $400. a month. No matter what *they* say, our energy bills will never go down unless we cut our utilities OFF!!! The more we conserve, the more revenue they lose so the more they raise the rates. It's that simple.

POPSThe Teachers' Unions that Stole Christmas But I remember reading where a professor received a grant to study volcanic activity in S. America under the Stimulus Bill. It makes sense that the NEA and teachers' unions would not support anything that would send children to private schools. The public education system is in such rapid decline that no thinking person wants their child there and no politician or wealthy person who can afford a private school would do otherwise. And the public schools that DO have some good teachers are losing them because of the stress and work load.

POPSDems cut Medicare Home Health Services to fund uninsured This will definitely effect me and my household. For 20+ yrs. I have cared for my elderly family members. With my MIL she could afford to have someone come in and help me and sit with her while I ran errands or took a break. She had Home Health Care aids from the hospital (paid partially by Medicare) come several times to check on her and help with bed sores. My Dad had to be in a nursing home and Medicare helped. My Mom is now with me and I depend on the CNA's and Eldercare Services to help me with bathing. The beds, wheelchairs, etc....were affordable with the Medicare coverage. My Mom will also lose her Medicare Advantage. So...what are we to do with our elderly? If Mr. Baucus' mother is receiving benefits from Medicare and other government services, then shame on him. On their salaries, surely they can afford to take care of their own parents.

Aren't we all encouraged by the serious, dedicated, bi-partisan, transparent work being done by our *representatives* in Washington?? However, I believe they were surely watching the wrong sport. I guess it's not basketball season when their thoughts would be more in tuned to a 'slam-dunk' against the American peoples' wishes regarding their HealthCare bill. I watched Durbin today hammer against the American Insurance companies saying that the Government could offer the citizens a much more fair and balanced option for their health care. His main concern seemed to be the private insurances and drug company's profits. So this really is about a full-frontal attack on the free-market system, capitalism, and our choice as to who we want to entrust our insurance/health care coverage to. POPSFed rule halts red snapper fishing Oh well. How many jobs is this going to cut? I know....they'll hire the fishermen to be Federal officers patrolling the seas to catch those fish-violators. And can you imagine the price of one that makes it to the restaurant or supermarket? Will this help the fishing economy on the Left Coast?
