POPSSocial engineers are bad bankers Why do we have to go elsewhere to hear the truth about this? Common sense people knew that you don't loan money to people who can't afford to pay it back, let alone don't have a job! Same goes with credit cards. Free credit cards everywhere...and then the personal fall-out when the chickens come home to roost. I blame both sides; the Credit Card Companies and the irresponsible users of them.

POPSObama Softens on Iraq Withdrawal Timeline So the naive Senator is learning that things aren't as easy to "change" as his rhetoric once suggested. Funny how a little more information about a subject and a closer step to the Presidency can make a person realize that things are different in the real world verses the campaign world.

POPSBubba The Baby All those years the public believed the Media and it's protection of Bill Clinton. The man apparently had charisma but no core strength. His persona was *created. I never would have voted for Hillary but she is a cut above her husband and even Obama. Hint, hint....how a person is portrayed by the Media & that person's handlers may not be who that person really is....beware of *created* candidates who conform outwardly but are vile and petty on the inside.

POPSBehind the Michelle Rumor I heard about this today. Rush & other's got blamed for spreading the rumor but the clip used to target Rush as the instigator was a clipped portion where he was describing the advancing of rumor itself. Talk about dirty tricks! This guy goes up in my book for laying the blame where it belongs and not using it to further the deception. Campbell's remarks were pretty revealing though.

POPSHillary Makes Obama's VP Short List Oh gross. If he chooses her he really is as innocent & naive as I think. Of course, he said last week to ignore all the media hype about his VP choices, so I hope this is hype. But then Wesley Clark is equally a wimp. Evan Bayh might be the pick of the litter or Sam Nunn.

POPSPfleger To Return.... That didn't take long. Wonder what he reflected on. (is anyone else having trouble clipping *without* the orange box checked?)

POPSAs Race Wanes, Talk of Clinton as No. 2 Grows What say you, Obama supporters? I can not imagine Michelle and Obama's advisers agreeing to any such a' thing. Hillary would rule and dominate. I'd never vote for her, but I wish (sometimes) that my candidate had such tenacity and fortitude. And then at other times...I wish they would all go away.

POPSWho Is Really Responsible For the High Prices You Pay for Gasoline? When will the American people stand up and say enough!? Why weren't we insistent *before* we arrived at this point? So typical of human nature...let's just wait till things are really bad and then we *have* to do something. FTA: "It's wake-up time for America. Maybe we should investigate the blame-throwing investigators in Congress." And a more "blame-throwing" Congress I have never seen.
2
POPSFormer President Clinton Do we really want this person as the co-President of the United States of America? There is much to dislike/disagree with the other candidates running for the office of Presidency...the leader of the (at this moment) most powerful nation on Earth. Are we ready to go here again? The Clintons back in the White House? I would choose anyone over this person and his spouse.

POPSBush oil price 'begging' is 'pathetic': Clinton What nerve! What hypocrisy! What happened to 'talking' instead of bombing....'diplomacy' instead of cowboying? The man is damned if he does; damned if he doesn't. And what political party (or dominating portion of it) has blocked every effort to give the US energy independence? No refineries, no coal plants, no nuclear power, no off-shore drilling, no wind, etc.....just let's raise taxes on gasoline, heating oil, petroleum companies and everyone ride a bike.

POPSKenneth Starr: Open to the public Boy, did Bush I make a mistake by passing over him. This is a nice article which reflects on the entire man, not just his *job* of investigating the lies of Mr. Clinton. Remember when "war" was declared on this man? The Clinton machine and the press chewed him to pieces...but he still got the truth.

POPSPlay President, Real Threats What a list!!!! Great compilation of some *lost* history. I'm keeping this one very handy. "Candidates today play president but not as much as they play with facts. And history. And lives. And, if many of them had their way, they'd be still playing with Saddam. Armed. No sanctions. No No-Fly Zones. Uday, Qusay ready to carry on. Osama accepting Saddam's safe haven offer."

POPSYoung: Clinton Dated More Black Women than Obama Now tell me....who looks worse from the confines of this statement? The ex-US Ambassador? The ex-President? The civil-rights movement? The silent *black* leadership? When will someone stand up and demand some decorum and dignity from public figures who come out and speak in public? Perhaps Mr. Young fit right in at the UN with his flippancy and idiocy.

POPSThe Evangelical President Don't bother reading the article if you hate conservatives, Fox News, the President. From the article, though short, I see that I share most of Sammons' views about this President. The four of them would make interesting reading.

POPSStrategic Reserves That Go Undrilled This is so un-necessary. We have plenty of options. Solar, nuclear, wind, coal, off-shore drilling, more refineries; but there's a *cause* that will rise up and promote a reason to not proceed. When those in our northern states are freezing their buns, maybe the outcry will rise at those who are blocking every option...instead of supporting the ones we have and encouraging our potentials and possibilities. But heck! let's keep the political ball rolling about Bush/Cheney and the oil businesses and 'oh, woe is me' and continue to wallow in stagnation. That will spell progress and energy independence. s/off!

POPSClinton Defends Wife on Licenses I would expect nothing less than for a husband to defend his wife. He owes her. But does anyone else have a really bad feeling about this??......a former President running interference for his wife...if she should win. Others have talked about a dictatorship, an *imperial* Presidency, a dynasty... This doesn't bother anyone else? Education and Healthcare reform? Are these really the most pressing problems that America is facing? I will not deny that they are important to all of us. I blame a *do-nothing* Congress on this. They've had all summer...all session!! to address and seek solutions to these very important, fundamental problems; but they've been busy with V. Plame, blocking Supreme Court judges and AGs, questioning Gen. Petraeus' military *independence*, the effectiveness of the "Surge", the patriotism of Rush Limbaugh, etc..... Mr. Clinton is an impeached President. His wife's campaign finances are in question. Huh?? Is there sanity here?

POPSClintons Campaign at Harlme Church Now, I ask you: Could Huckabee or Romney done this at, say, Coral Ridge or First Baptist of Atlanta? I don't necessarily adhere to the PC standards of separation of church/state, but the hypocrisy is nauseating.
3
POPSAn unlikely treasure-trove of donors for Clinton This from the LATimes! I don't believe this is news; political campaigns =corruption. Mrs. Clinton's campaign is suspect due to the recent revelations with Mr. Hua (sp), her husband's past suspicious connections with Chinese donations, the sheer amount of dollars in her treasure chest. I just wish the *journalists* would investigate campaign corruption as aggressively as they did Florida's ballots and voting machines in 2000.
4
POPSClinton would use violence against Tehran Not for one minute do I believe that Ms. Clinton would change the current status or policies now in place in Iraq or our current policy concerning Iran. If she has any intelligence information, she knows that it is of utmost importance to stay the course. Of course, she can't come right out and say that; but as much as I dislike and distrust her, I don't believe she would commit national suicide. Things are a lot more serious *once* you get in office and get the power. Suddenly, truly, the weight of the entire world is on your shoulders and political sound-bites just don't cut it.
5
POPSCriminal Behavior I wonder how many Americans know about this....or even care. This is corruption at the highest level of our government. Gone are the days when Administrations could hide. The Media is everywhere. So we know...now what?

POPSHe's back: Sandy Berger now advising Hillary Clinton Amazing! Though not so surprising. These people have no shame. Any Republican involved in *unusual* sex is tarred & feathered. They are accused of 'phony' slander and denounced on the Senate floor. They have a memory lapse and are convicted of perjury. Yet, Mr. Berger gets a slap on the wrist for stealing classified information and then lying about it. But he only has to bide his time and wait for the Clintons to call and he's back at their political and corrupted money trough. Any American, Rep. or Dem., should be appaulled that a convicted National Security chief would be hired to work for and advise a potential President of the United States.

POPSSen. Clinton's slur She defends Hsu and accuses Gen. Petraeus. Does she have any evidence that he is lying, that he'd risk his life and career to lie? That those who support his report are also lying?
