POPSBush never lied to us about Iraq Oh....but the lie is so much more delicious and makes the "critics" sound so pious. If it will taint the "selected " President, then it doesn't matter if it's true or not.

POPSCongress Holds Troops Hostage, Budget Director Says AND when the President vetoes this bill, who will get blamed for not supporting the troops? Congress, again, shows their utter contempt for the American process, it's military, our tax dollars, the intelligence of it's citizens. Blackmail, pure and simple. If Congress does not want America troops in Iraq then take the stand, vote, and deal with the consequences. But they won't because they KNOW it is not in our national interests to do so; but they will play politics with every ounce of treachery they can muster against this Administration, our military personnel, and the responsible use of OUR money.

POPSArab leader denies temple ever existed These people are either lying or are unknowingly ignorant of history. Everyday the rhetoric is revved up. They are craving a war, a blood-bath that they know Israel has no stomach for. They love death. All their leaders promote it and mother's send off their children to embrace it. And the World sits by with barely a word to renounce the stoking of the fires. Does anyone actually believe that a full-blown war in the region will not affect each one of us?

POPSIraqi oil exceeds pre-war output More good news. I also read that the Iraqi army has assumed most all of the security responsibilities for the pipelines. As the world markets begin to invest more into the Iraqi oil business, I think the level of improving conditions will occur even faster. AND the sooner that happens, the sooner the majority of our military can come home.

"The military said "an estimated 49 criminals" were killed in three separate engagements during a raid targeting a suspected rogue Shiite militia leader specializing in kidnapping operations for which he sought funding from Iran."

POPSSanchez: Media's Reporting of Iraq War Endangered Soldiers' Lives Whoa! I hadn't heard this part of his conversation. I wonder why? And concerning this assessment....I could not agree more. Perhaps if the media hadn't been so aggressively portraying the situation in Iraq so inaccurately, the 'nightmare' would not have been such as he considered it.

I'm content to live in my 'world' and *pretend* that my children/grandchildren will have the life that I did. POPSPeace activist Sheehan arrested at Congress Mrs. Sheehan has been used by the anti-war movement, the Liberals and the foes of the Administration. Sadly, I believe, she views herself more influential that she actually is and the media exploits her for their news fodder. I would never criticize a woman who has lost her son in war for being outspoken against it; we all hate war. Other than having name recognition now and being in favor of withdrawal from Iraq, what qualifies her for a place in Congress as a representative? I am no fan of Mrs. Pelosi, but Sheehan appears to have visions of grandeur and an exalted opinion of her self-importance. Someone needs to help her find another avenue to fight war and it's effects...other than being used as a pawn.

POPSIraqis warn of civil war if US troops withdraw Are there other US citizens, out there, who realize that setting a time-table for, or even suggesting a withdrawal, would be horribly detrimental to *peace* for ourselves and even the Middle East? In a following conflict (which there most definitely will be) would anyone believe in us/US? Where would our credibility be? Our military personnel can make a difference for the good; but our politicians, both past and present, make whatever gains we could make null and void. This entire way of thinking undermines our National integrity, our military and it's commitment and sacrifice; the very standards of the United States. Does anyone believe that leaving Iraq, NOW, would benefit the United States and the rest of the World?! The Congress committed. So they think, now, it was a deceptive *commitment*...NOT! They Knew! So.... how do you believe leaving, at this point, would be beneficial? Explain. I do not see it.

POPSWhy We Went to War in Iraq I had become addicted to politics during the Clinton years, but it was during the 2000 election (like most every American) that I began to be tuned in like never before. I remember the President's speech before the UN and this is how I remember the events. It *was* about weapons inspectors/inspections, the ignoring of the UN's resolutions, and regime change. I believed the President was attempting to put some teeth back into the operation of the UN with the commitment to see that it's resolutions, by anyone, were no longer disregarded. Alas, it was much more corrupted than most of us thought and seems beyond redemption. It needs to go the way of the League of Nations.

POPSWar is coming to Tucson The immigration issue is becoming more serious and may even surpass the Iraqi war in it's divisiveness. Even though I live in the South, I guess I had not read much about the day to day violence that is occurring and the failure of our government to combat it. This is eye-opening.

POPSBoehner gets emotional during Iraq war funding debate I want to be cynical because our current history has lead me to be this way. I hope this man is serious with his words, because if our leaders are not, we will be at the mercy of something the majority of us have never even read about. It's high time someone became passionate about our safety and security.

POPSMillions for bandages, nothing for bullets The democrats are going to sink our military...not just now, in Iraq, but for our future need to intervene and protect ourselves from our enemies. When they've succeeded in withdrawing our forces from Iraq, there will be no will among our citizenry and especially among our military personnel to deal with Iran, Russia, Al Quaeda wherever it pops up, Korea, China, or the blood bath that will ensue all over the ME and Europe.
