About me
My husband and I have been married for nearly 39 years. We have 3 adult (kinda') children and 5 awesome grandchildren.

My Christian faith and tennis are large in my life. For the last 16 yrs. I've been the caregiver of my MIL, my Dad, my Grandchildren, and now my Mother. It has been hard and the internet allows my mind to escape for a while.
Why I use Clipmarks
There is always something interesting to read. It provides a great way to communicate ideas and opinions and learn new things.

The Wilding of Sarah Palin
jatfla
by jatfla  Today 8:07 AM    9
What an amazing article. FTA: "The Left has declared war on Palin because she threatens their existence. Democrats need women dependent and scared so that women, like blacks, will vote for liberals." "Just like a perpetrator, they dehumanize her by objectifying her body. They undress her with their eyes." " As the book, Against Our Will described, the brutality is also aimed at men. By forcing men to witness Palin's violation, the Left tries to emasculate conservative men by rendering them powerless." Robin Berkeley gives organization to the confusion in my mind over why the pure vulgarity flows from the mouths of those on the Left concerning Sarah Palin. As a former Liberal and feminist, she has seen what lurks in the heart of the Leftist movement over the last several decades. "Not a movement of hope and change, it is a cauldron of hate."

Absolutely amazing!!! And the foolish woman believes this bill offers the "last chance"!!?? None dare scratch it and start over knowing all that has been learned over these last months. I agree that America needs some serious Health Care reform. Tort Reform would be a good start. Cracking down on fraud; ie. follow the $$$ would be great too. But when people say idiotic things such as these (and are serious!) we really are in deep doo-doo. These, who are the media influence-peddlers who have access to our citizens every day! Throw in the towel, they say. As though there is no hope for a much better bill. Where are the Leaders??

No matter what I say I will sound politically incorrect. His victims are dead. The families of many at Fort Hood are traumatized and angry. That he has *lived* and will face a trial is very sad to me. How much will this trial cost the taxpayer when we already know that he is guilty? Will there be sympathy when it comes to executing a paralyzed murderer? Will he have a jury of "his peers"? Just another convolution of the American justice system. Take what is meant for good and use it for distortion and evil.

Absolutely amazing. Why doesn't he just say what he really plans to do instead of dragging this out, waiting for a more opportune time? He's going to undermine our military troops there and send the morale of the rest completely down the drain. Agree with the Afghan war or not...being so "dithering" is inexcusable and makes the efforts of our soldiers there worthless. My Mom had ABC news on last night (it was an accident) and I heard the news caster talk about the poll numbers showing that support for the war against the Taleban in Afghanistan were dropping. Well, YES!!! Because many of us who do support the work being done there are no longer wanting our family members there without the support of this President!!! By failing to give them what they need, requested by their General, the pseudo-CIC is responsible for those who are being killed and maimed right now.

I have always liked the Judge and trusted his analysis. I believe that he is right-on concerning this Health Care Bill...even with the changes (acquiescence) made in the Senate bill. This piece of legislation is so huge that I'm not sure any of us can get our brains around it. It's so obvious that Congress does not CARE about our rights or the Constitution as we know it. I do question his assertion that Republicans want to 'assault' our civil liberties; but I'm sure many will disagree.

1000s cheer Palin in Mich. for book tour

I hope someone gives me her book for Christmas. I doubt that she has Presidential aspirations but I believe she is hoping to give encouragement and energy to the conservatives of America who have, honestly, lost all hope that America can rebound from the free-fall over the last several years. As much as I appreciated President Bush (and admired his wife) he was too nice those last several years and allowed the press to bash him mercilessly. Plus I did not agree with the illegal immigration issue. I wish he had pressed more for energy independence but I believe he was worn down and out by the faulty intelligence, the back-biting within his Cabinet, dealing with the causalities of the wars in Afghanistan & Iraq, etc. A person can only handle so much without physically and mentally drawing down. Palin is fresh, feisty, fearsome and committed to her conservative values. That's what people hear..PLUS all the attacks from the MSM which make them like her more!!

I can't believe that it's not 10-for-10 for the death penalty if found guilty. And yes, most Americans believe these guy will get a fair trial. But how much is this going to cost the taxpayers by having it in a civilian court as opposed to a military one? Are there going to be TV cameras? Every Arab television in the world is going to be tuned in to this circus. And finally, why doesn't the majority opinion rule anymore? and I'm talking about incidences such as this. Obama & Holder had to have made this decision on their own.

FTA: "He called for the West to impose crippling economic sanctions on Iran, as well as isolating the nation diplomatically. But also noted quite emphatically: “Without defeating the Iranian regime " not the people, but the regime " there is no way to bring peace and stability to the region.'” Those who willfully and knowingly ignore the rapid progress that Iran is making with their nuclear program AND their arming of militant Islamic organizations surrounding Israel are seeking the destruction of the Israeli State. I believe Obama's "dithering" with Iran (as elsewhere) vastly contributes to the instability in the area and the lose of lives lie at the feet of the current Administration.
