Time to walk away from Israeli-Palestinian conflict?
    jatfla
    by jatfla  Yesterday 12:26 PM
FTA: "We should stop feeling as though we have to apologize for our friendship with Israel, or pretend that the Palestinians and their Arab neighbors didn’t create their own misery through a series of wars against Israel which they lost. Let the Palestinians and the Israelis tend to their own interests, and we should tend to our own as well. When the Palestinians figure out that we are not interested in beating our heads against the wall by dealing with terrorists uninterested in actual negotiations, then perhaps they’ll produce effective leadership with more interest in coexistence rather than annihilation." I think I agree.

Anguish Across the Globe as Obama Rolls Back Am. Influence
    jatfla
    by jatfla  7-22-2009    4
FTA: "President Obama's administration has tacitly energized radically anti-American and tyrannical regimes to do their worst. We are watching the rollback of thirty years of American influence across the world -- and millions around the world are worse off for it." Add to this the current climate against the missile defense system in Eastern Europe to placate Russia and the undermining of our traditional support of Israel.

    by jatfla  2-20-2009    5
These Cabinet appointees are the truly 'chilling' factors of this Administration. By his tone and very words addressed to the DOJ, he propagates the very thing he claims to be criticizing. AND he needs to look in the mirror and at the man who appointed him. The unadulterated nerve of these people astonish me. Americans are being bullied, demeaned, and herded....not to mention robbed! Is there a single truly American, with leadership skills, who will lead the repudiation of this so-called governing? As one lady's protest sign read: "I'll keep my Freedom - you keep your 'change."

Interestingly, the report mentions that Presidents Clinton & Bush had not agreed to such a meeting. I wonder if Bush was asked? He usually went out of his way to meet and comfort military families. Clinton, however, was severely criticized for failing to attend the arrival of the deceased military personnel when they returned to the US.

The Clinton's are debtors to those from whom they took millions. From Saudi Arabia it's estimated between 10-25 million. And to think Pres. Bush was accused of being "owned" by foreign oil. And don't for a minute believe this is but a partial list.

Is Caroline Kennedy Ready for the Senate?
    jatfla
    by jatfla  12-16-2008    1
While I think Ms. Kennedy would make as good a Senator from New York as most others in Congress now, I marvel at the hypocrisy of the MSM. While Gov. Palin was completely UN-qualified to be on the VP slot, Ms. Kennedy, who has never held a public office, IS? And where is all the yapping about "dynasty"? I've always considered her a dignified and classy woman...like her mother; and she has as much qualifications for a Senatorial position as Obama did. However, it has become obvious that Name and the Democratic political machine can get you the Office of your choice.

    by jatfla  11-11-2008    5
Graciousness & dignity describe President Bush and the First Lady. Class shows. Sadly, he has been demonized and falsely portrayed since election day 2000. He's determined not to repeat the rank pettiness of the Clinton transition and the months wasted during that time. I believe it will be with a cheerful heart that they both leave that House. Half of America has failed to appreciate the difficulties, strain and struggles this man has endured. Of course, he had no help or support or co-operation from the very Party that is demanding it now for their newly hailed leader.

I thought some of the hero worship would die down a little after the election. These two are being molded, shaped, characterized much like the mythical Camelot of the JFK years....only times 10! During those years we only had the likes of Walter Cronkite to give us the news we needed to know; now, well I can see why the Democrats are avid about the "Fairness Doctrine". FTA: "And now the US, like Britain before it, has begun the long slow descent into the Third World. How sad. "

    Rebirth of Principled Opposition...
    jatfla
    by jatfla  11-7-2008
I held my nose and supported McCain because he was the better choice than Obama to me. Heck, Sen. Clinton was a better choice than Obama but she would not have fired up the black vote in droves. But I'm ready for a new leader...if there is such a thing in America anymore. I'm not looking for charisma, or celebrity, or smooth-talking, or promises of the moon. I'm just looking for someone who will take back the original intent of our Constitution and our freedoms to prosper by our own labor and responsibility. Is there someone with a passion for the American values that have made us the greatest Country on this earth and made us a haven and beacon for others? I'm not really sure. Good people do not want to subject themselves to the ridicule, the slander, the microscopic inspection of what's in your trash can. But ever the optimist...which I am not...Rush states: "Conservatives are free at last! Thank God Almighty, we're free at last -- to seek the mountaintop!"

I heard about this today. Rush & other's got blamed for spreading the rumor but the clip used to target Rush as the instigator was a clipped portion where he was describing the advancing of rumor itself.
