POPSMinn. struggles with rise of Somali gangs The Somalis who want to rid their community of these gangs must come forward or they will grow with their sense of power. Same is true of any gangs. Poverty is always an easy reason to lay blame but it's basically been a growing sub-culture that has been ALLOWED to flourish by failure to seriously crack down on all thugs.

POPSCongressmen profited from inside information in the collapse? Amen to the last statement of the clip. I'm sick of all of them. Only within the last few years have I begun to realize how corrupted Washington (and everyone, I guess) truly is. I'll admit to being naive because I was raised to be honest...or suffer the consequences. If other high-profile names can be prosecuted and sent to prison...why not these?? And I don't care about their Party affiliation.

POPSOpposing views on abortion 'irreconcilable', says B. Obama Yes they are. "...open hearts, open minds, fair-minded words" applies to the Pro-Life movement only. It is interesting that the woman who started the whole thing, Norma McCorvey, opened her mind and saw that abortion kills babies. In this culture, I've concluded that if a person wants to have sex til the cows come home...fine. Deal with the emotional consequences and diseases; however, don't make babies. Sadly that will never happen because the *majority* of people having sex don't care about the next instant; only personal self-gratification of their own desires. And Notre Dame has besmirched it's reputation and undermined it's theology by bringing Obama to the graduation. While I'm no Catholic, I believe in adhering to your professed values.

POPSWeak Knees at the White House Piercing article revealing the *news medias* new position within Americas society/culture...Presidential lapdog and propaganda machine.

POPSKen Starr to defend gay marriage ban.... Good. Not for one minute do I believe that the march towards *gay marriage* or the homosexual agenda will not succeed in American culture. However, I support those who continue to thwart it's advance in the public arena....regardless of it's final outcome.

POPSThe Drumbeat Oh yes! The will to think and discern and survive has given over to the desire of complete hedonism. Morally corrupt, politically elitist, emotionally and spiritually weak. How the mighty has fallen.

POPSEurope or Eurabia I am among those who foresee Europe becoming dominated by Islam...and much sooner than anyone expects.

POPSCanadian Muslim Teen's Dad Charged in Her Murder...... I don't want to make this too much of a blanket statement, but I believe this is where Eastern and Western cultures clash. The Judeo-Christian *traditional* sensibilities will not accept a persons *right* to kill another person. Whether for religious or cultural reasons. A "teen issue"....maybe. We all have them if we have teens. Murdering them should warrant an arrest no matter their *crimes*. The poor mother. This is pitiful.

POPSYoung: Clinton Dated More Black Women than Obama Now tell me....who looks worse from the confines of this statement? The ex-US Ambassador? The ex-President? The civil-rights movement? The silent *black* leadership? When will someone stand up and demand some decorum and dignity from public figures who come out and speak in public? Perhaps Mr. Young fit right in at the UN with his flippancy and idiocy.

POPSAbuse Risk Seen Worse As Families Change We all know this to be basically true and it's getting worse. Irresponsible parenting, wounded and abused children and the cycle repeats itself. Is there a day that goes by that we don't see this in the news or even are aware of it in our own families? Be alert and protect a child.

POPS'Kite Runner' actor's family wants rape scene cut I listened to this book on audio and it was, without a doubt, one of the best stories I've listened to/read in a long, long time. And it's not about rape; it's about Afghanistan, it's culture, and two boys' relationships. It's about loyalty, human affection blended with the culture and traditions of one's Country. It haunted me. There is no way that the directors can not re-do the scene in such a way as to protect the sensibilities and fears of the family and still remain true to the original story. For years Hollywood was able to leave things to our imagination and it never destroyed the quality of the story. With all the garbage out there that is promoted as quality entertainment, surely this story can be salvaged. This one could actually deserve to win an Oscar.

POPSSchoolgirls in the gunsights of the Taliban I found this was/is a common practice of the Taliban (and others of their ilk) when I recently read "A Thousand Splendid Suns", by Khaled Hosseini. I highly recommend it to give us a more clear picture of the enemy and culture of death that we face.

POPSAbortion parental-notice law repealed My gosh, this is low. Parents don't have a right to know if their daughter has an abortion but they have to pick up the pieces of their child's life from the after-effects.

POPSOhip Mother's Body Found, Boyfriend Charged It's hard to view these kinds of people as any thing other than animalistic. He killed her, wrapped her in a rug in front of her son, killed his unborn baby and dumped her. Warm up that chair.

POPSchildren see, children do This is a very convicting video. I hope no one *sees* themselves here, but it was a powerful reminder that we're always being watched. And you don't have to be a parent..

POPSe-Harmony sued for excluding gays Time to shut down. When the laws of the land begin to demand that people of faith compromise their belief-system, then which *power* are traditional Christians to obey? Not meaning to be too confrontational here. I believe Christian organizations, companies and clubs are being targeted to undercut their dogma, put a certain agenda front-and-center, and eliminate personal religion standards.

POPSPrognosis Worrisome With Cancer's Return This only made me more angry. How many of us have family/friends enduring this kind of battle? The focus of the family should be an election? Again, a reflection on a real battle of personal priorities within our culture.
