POPSNK fires new type of short-range missile... But our Sec. of Defense says this is no "crisis" & our President attends a Hollywood fundraiser and talks basketball & politics. :~( I hope someone is working on this and our other problems besides suggesting that we all paint our roofs white to reduce global warming.

POPSUSAF Thunderbirds read for air-show duty Even before I had a sense of politics, the precision of air formations thrilled me. Just some neat photos. Yesterday we had the death of one of the original 'top guns' who went on to serve as a very distinguished member of our State's government. I wonder if the caliber of those men are long gone.

POPSPresidential Poison This is chilling and unprecidented. More of the "change" he promised? Rev. Wright would be so proud.

POPSObama: Quit Listening to Limbaugh If You Want Things Done Why, of course! And only listen to *himself*, CNN, PBS, NYT, etc.... as if the "partisan politics" he is referring to solely reside within the Conservative agenda!! And the "important things that need to be done" are the things that the new Administration and it's Congress consider "important". Imperial Presidency indeed.

POPSObama Says He Will Seek to Rein in Retiree Spending Oh great!! Just in time for us. I will readily recognize fraud....especially within Medicaid/Medicare and that there are people who are receiving SS who would like to opt for other options; however, I doubt very much that this will be the place where he will start "overhauling".

POPSThe Snub that wasn't. http://www.cnn.com/video/#/video/politics/2008/11/20/moos.bush.not.ignored.cnn For some strange reason, Clipmarks wouldn't clip this. Amazing how low and pitiful the Bush-haters will go; creating stories out of thin air.

POPSWhy is Rush so popular & effective Nice little article about a man who has held the Conservative movement together and gives us hope. When I first heard him, it was on TV many years ago. My jaw dropped as I heard someone say exactly what I thought & felt but with credibility and facts to back up what he was saying. He is an astute student of American history/politics and still has the values of the generations past of America. Plus he's optimistic and I rarely am. :~(

POPSCongress Holds Troops Hostage, Budget Director Says AND when the President vetoes this bill, who will get blamed for not supporting the troops? Congress, again, shows their utter contempt for the American process, it's military, our tax dollars, the intelligence of it's citizens. Blackmail, pure and simple. If Congress does not want America troops in Iraq then take the stand, vote, and deal with the consequences. But they won't because they KNOW it is not in our national interests to do so; but they will play politics with every ounce of treachery they can muster against this Administration, our military personnel, and the responsible use of OUR money.

POPSFormer President Clinton Do we really want this person as the co-President of the United States of America? There is much to dislike/disagree with the other candidates running for the office of Presidency...the leader of the (at this moment) most powerful nation on Earth. Are we ready to go here again? The Clintons back in the White House? I would choose anyone over this person and his spouse.

POPSBush oil price 'begging' is 'pathetic': Clinton What nerve! What hypocrisy! What happened to 'talking' instead of bombing....'diplomacy' instead of cowboying? The man is damned if he does; damned if he doesn't. And what political party (or dominating portion of it) has blocked every effort to give the US energy independence? No refineries, no coal plants, no nuclear power, no off-shore drilling, no wind, etc.....just let's raise taxes on gasoline, heating oil, petroleum companies and everyone ride a bike.

POPSAnti-war Soros funded Iraq study People are free to *fund* whoever and whatever they want, but not matter who...the results are almost always a product of the view of the *funder*. To give any credibility to any "study", the $$$ behind it should be disclosed.

POPSRonald Reagan's Humor Just because I think he had such an understanding of politics and of life. People will criticize him for many policies but what a wonderful human being.

POPSEven Harvard Finds The Media Biased Not news to most of us, but it's interesting that another source (like Harvard!) thought it was an important issue to analyze. The sheeple are fed whatever the particular media outlet wants to propagate. Thank you Fox News.

POPSSenate Passes Bush Spy Bill While the headline is aggravating, in light of the intell coming out in dribbles, this will keep things working for the duration of the time specified by the chatter of bad things in the works. Cynics can claim that this is politics. Well, have you seen anything in Washington that has given you assurances that politics are not driving our governmental leaders....all of them? I'd err on the side of safety and security any day. The stakes are too high.

POPSOpen Secrets Just found this. Don't know much about it other than it's objective appears to be "follow the money" in politics. Research it later.
