POPSZogby ~ Secular Spiritualism the 'New American Dream' Rejecting traditional materialism, the under 30's are global citizens who no longer believe that 'he who dies with the most toys wins'... A growing movement choosing lower wages and feelgood factor over higher wages and the stress of competing in a race that creates only losers (who find out sooner or later that material possessions do not equal happiness, and leave a trail of environmental destruction from all directions). I cant help hoping that America can regain its place as a world leader now it finally seems to be coming to its senses....

POPS"Arabs seek Better Life, not Democracy" So says a key Middle Eastern business figure ~ maybe he's right, if they've seen what western style democracy is really like - a choice between two or maybe three big political parties that are funded by vested interests.. Also compared to a dictatorship they are inherently unstable, and often no less corrupt.. Not that I would want a dictator, unless he/she was being benevolent and wise, and above the influence of corporate or capital concerns, working towards a vision of approaching paradise as a long-term future for all - instead of short term re-election... Our addiction to parliamentary democracy is preventing truer forms of democracy from shaping the destiny of mankind at this crucial time in the development of our civilisation - representatives were needed when the vast majority were uneducated and uninformed in national matters - now it is the politicians that are out of touch...
