POPSWhy I love Clipmarks I use Clipmarks to blog about social media. If it wasn't for the Clipmarks developers this would have never been possible.

POPSCan I Claim Clipmarks on Technorati? I can claim my blog I can claim my twitter, but can I claim my Clips? I would imagine, if I could, I would have to make a clip of the url that technorati gives you during set up? When we post a clip it is like a blog or twitter post right? Boys?! If your listening :)

POPSRockMe. Online Music Festival
This is Me.dium's Dudeofmusic blog. I had a chance to chat with him, Rose Hill Drive's Jake Sproul and the the CTO of Pandora internet radio, Tom Conrad. I love Pandora and apparently, they love Me.dium. Me.dium's a browser add-on that allows you to see other people that are online the same time you are. It's hard to explain but it is a surreal experience. Within the browser client there is a chat box and a interactive "world" where you can see what sites other users are on and jump around from site to site with them... all while chatting together. RockMe. (http://rockme.dium.com/) is an event that harness Me.dium, allowing users to discover, meet and share their favorite artists. Get the browser add-on, http://me.dium.com/tutorial Interact with who's on your blog with the Me.dium widget: http://rockme.dium.com/ What will the browser applications of the future do?! Teleport me into the computer where I can visit my Second Life home as me, and leave my avatar in the invento

POPSMonitorThis: rss keyword feeds on steroids I'm in love. Oh yes, with a search engine, but not just any search engine. This search engine will sign me up for 22 different search engine feeds (listed below) in one click. All I had to do is enter my search term, import the .opml file into my FeedDemon and snap, signed-up to receive updates on my selected keywords from 22 different search engines, wow that was easy. I dont know about anyone else reading but I have been spending endless amounts of times signing up for keyword searches on various search engines like feedster, ice rocket, google blog search, etc. I would always dread having to do this task. But now, new client... new project... no problem

POPSI invented Facebook iinventedfacebook.com is a great idea. Its going to be interesting (and entertaining) to read through peoples explanations of how THEY thought of Facebook first. But, I mean come on.... everyone knows I, Julia Roy, invented Facebook. Duh! I just don't take credit because I created Facebook FOR THE PEOPLE and not for fame. Yes, I know, it's very humble of me.

POPSDisney.com to become MySpace for Kids Definitely long overdue, though they really are hitting the market knowing what works and what doesn't and should be able to execute successfully. The product placement that will underwrite the site is the bit that scares me (and I don't have kids yet, though I do worry about my nieces). Kids are interacting with brands at such a young age these days, I just hope it doesn't turn them all into shopaholics.

POPSsocial networking trumps sex I can see how this is true. The trend is toward building relationships online more than staring at static "sex" sites. Why not go on Facebook and find someone with a hot profile picture and reach out to them, send them a message and get a dialog going. Much more exciting than looking at porn.

POPSThe Green Movement Everyone is going green. The only barrier is cost. It's typically much more expensive to buy "green" products.

POPSRadiohead $$$ In Rainbows I think that is pretty amazing that they made more money on In Rainbows than all of their other Radiohead albums put together.

POPSProBlogger helps you build a better blog Bryan Person's Social Media Top 10 post drove me to this blog that's about how to get the most out of blogging and how to earn a living off of it. I find the ProBlogger creator, Darren Rowse, to be very intriguing and he does a great job at aggregating everyone's thoughts and experiences on how to blog more strategically. Thanks Bryan, Darren and ProBlogger contributors I am finding the ProBlogger blog to be not only helpful but also inspiring. This is a post-to-blog clip for: clipping the social web, http://www.clipper.typepad.com

POPSDel.icio.us PR I am in the process of convincing my fellow co-workers to try out del.icio.us as a way to track their own research and compile news hits and webpages that discuss our clients. I have found in principle they think it is great idea and they see the value in it, but in practice they stick with saving bookmarks in their browser. Another barrier to entry... the concept and practice of tagging information. I've began to conduct weekly all staff training sessions on social media and del.icio.us is a tool I am determined they will learn and use.

POPSSecond Life Gets Real Weather from Boston What a development. I bought clouds recently for over my house in Second Life because it makes the sky and the experience that much more real... plus they are pretty :) A Boston based Interactive agency Windward Mark, that was bought by Linden Labs in May, is going to integrate their atmospheric rendering software to make real-life weather possible in Second Life. How far will it go though? I mean currently you can "force" the sun to sunrise and sunset and so with these new developments will we be able to force rain, clouds and even snow?! Will puddles form as it rains? Will snow make our avatars shiver unless we are clothed properly? We will have to wait and see.
