POPSThe Four Reasons the Mainstream Media are Worthless Dan Rather said, regarding American media, "What you have is a miniature version of what you have in totalitarian states". Indeed, former military analyst and famed Pentagon Papers whistleblower Daniel Ellsberg said that the government has ordered the media not to cover 9/11. An expert on propaganda testified under oath during trial that the CIA employs THOUSANDS of reporters and OWNS its own media organizations. Famed Watergate reporter Carl Bernstein says the CIA has already bought and paid for many successful journalists. I could only clip whole paragraphs for some reason, so the clip isn't as I would have liked it to be, but the whole article is well worth the read. Please go to the source for the full story.

POPSDalek found submerged in pond "We've dredged up everything from shopping trolleys, toys, and bicycles. But this is the first time a Dalek's appeared. We have no idea how it ended up in there, or how long ago. We discovered the BBC often took the Daleks out on location for filming, and they travelled to Hampshire on at least one occasion in the 1980s, when Colin Baker played the Time Lord. Who knows? This might be the remains of one of the originals from the old TV series. I'm told they were built to last."

POPSDoctor Who regenerates fan base is perhaps far geekier I've been called many things in my life but never a geek. I guess I'm in good company. I really love this show. The first Doctor Who episode was postponed because it had been scheduled to air on the day JFK was murdered. They were in black and white. I started watching when they came to the US. My son was watching it on a Sat. AM and I got so interested, I was hooked. It was the 4th doctor and although I can't recall the name of the episode, it was about a Sontarian. (probably spelled wrong). Maybe "The Sontarian Experiment"? He was testing humans for weaknesses.
