Why I use Clipmarks
I Love the convenience of saving the "important" part of articles which I enjoy.
I appreciate the wealth of knowledge on eclectic topics which is available on clipmarks. Glad that I'm a clipper......I end up spending more time on this site every week. I am meeting some really nice people too. It is sad to see that the media cannot be trusted; the truth is out there -- but who's truth?

Gone are the trench coat, Converse trainers and loose tie, replaced by a tweed jacket, work boots and - wait for it - a bow tie. So what does the new Doctor Who costume say?

The Four Reasons the Mainstream Media are Worthless
thisnamecantbetaken
by thisnamecantbetaken  8-3-2009    5
Dan Rather said, regarding American media, "What you have is a miniature version of what you have in totalitarian states". Indeed, former military analyst and famed Pentagon Papers whistleblower Daniel Ellsberg said that the government has ordered the media not to cover 9/11. An expert on propaganda testified under oath during trial that the CIA employs THOUSANDS of reporters and OWNS its own media organizations. Famed Watergate reporter Carl Bernstein says the CIA has already bought and paid for many successful journalists. I could only clip whole paragraphs for some reason, so the clip isn't as I would have liked it to be, but the whole article is well worth the read. Please go to the source for the full story.

Planet of the Dead date and time

"The BBC Press Office has stated that the Doctor Who Easter special, "Planet of the Dead", will air on BBC One on Saturday, April 11 from 6:45 to 7:45 pm. The Saturday date was posted last week on the Press Office's website, and subsequently withdrawn; it has now been reposted. The episode will also be broadcast on the BBC HD channel. A trailer for the episode is now available on the BBC Website." I could not post the video, in fact, it did not play for me. "Try again Later"

Dalek found submerged in pond
kkcapricorn

"We've dredged up everything from shopping trolleys, toys, and bicycles. But this is the first time a Dalek's appeared. We have no idea how it ended up in there, or how long ago. We discovered the BBC often took the Daleks out on location for filming, and they travelled to Hampshire on at least one occasion in the 1980s, when Colin Baker played the Time Lord. Who knows? This might be the remains of one of the originals from the old TV series. I'm told they were built to last."

is perhaps far geekier I've been called many things in my life but never a geek. I guess I'm in good company. I really love this show. The first Doctor Who episode was postponed because it had been scheduled to air on the day JFK was murdered. They were in black and white. I started watching when they came to the US. My son was watching it on a Sat. AM and I got so interested, I was hooked. It was the 4th doctor and although I can't recall the name of the episode, it was about a Sontarian. (probably spelled wrong). Maybe "The Sontarian Experiment"? He was testing humans for weaknesses.
