Why I use Clipmarks
I Love the convenience of saving the "important" part of articles which I enjoy.
I appreciate the wealth of knowledge on eclectic topics which is available on clipmarks. Glad that I'm a clipper......I end up spending more time on this site every week. I am meeting some really nice people too. It is sad to see that the media cannot be trusted; the truth is out there -- but who's truth?

Amazon Erases Orwell Books From Kindle
ratilfar
by ratilfar  7-18-2009    3
Amazon appears to have deleted other purchased e-books from Kindles recently. Customers commenting on Web forums reported the disappearance of digital editions of the Harry Potter books and the novels of Ayn Rand over similar issues. Amazon’s published terms of service agreement for the Kindle does not appear to give the company the right to delete purchases after they have been made. It says Amazon grants customers the right to keep a “permanent copy of the applicable digital content.”

I love this site! I wan ted to buy a book for a friend and was horrified at the price - 147 Euro!! I kid you not! I found it here for 1.99!! Used but in perfect condition. Very nice site, honest in their descriptions, deliver faster than they claim and all around perfect customer service! My friend was thrilled since the book is out of print and I managed to give her a perfect 1st edition hardback. and placed two more orders for other friends. Shipping cost 10E, but all the way from the US and in three days!! This is what the internet is all about!!

Why We Read
debbyski
by debbyski  4-26-2009    10
I spent all my time growing up in the public library. I remember hiding "The Sterile Cuckoo" and "Catcher In The Rye" and "A Clockwork Orange" from my parents. It was my little secret, my corner of the world where people were different; like me :) "One day, he tapped a wall of stone. A door appeared. Behind it was a different world, not better really, but brighter and less dull. I read for the same reason that he tapped: to look for doors, to push through walls."
