POPSEither George W. Bush is a psychopath or he does an excellent imitation of one at least three of the following criteria • failure to conform to social norms with respect to lawful behaviors • deceitfulness, as indicated by repeated lying, or conning others for profit or pleasure • impulsivity or failure to plan ahead (believing that Iraqis would welcome a foreign invasion, destroying the environment for short-term gain). • aggressiveness as indicated by repeated physical fights or assaults • reckless disregard for the safety of others • consistent irresponsibility, as indicated by repeated failure to honor financial obligations • lack of remorse, as indicated by being indifferent to or rationalizing having hurt, mistreated, or stolen from another (too many examples to list!).

POPSThe Vulnerability of Men ...Crushing expectations combine with a lack of emotional support to create an inner despair that many men cannot communicate in words. Huge profits flow from shaming male workers to compete to produce more, to accept oppressive conditions ("only wimps complain"), and to serve as cannon fodder for imperial wars.

POPSWho needs a heart when a heart can be broken? ... While the powers-that-be promote war as necessary for peace, prosperity and security, peace never comes, only the wealthy prosper and life becomes increasingly insecure. The ordinary American, the American soldier and the people they are supposed to hate, all are victimized by the rich and powerful who feed off their suffering. Americans don't need to care more about the war. They need an uncompromising anti-war movement that can organize them into a force powerful enough to end it.
