About me I am a white 50 something woman. After graduating from seminary I returned to my hometown and am now working as a housekeeper at a local hotel Probably because of inadequate intellectual stimuli I have taken to on-line worldwide new, with emphases on the Bolivian Republic of Venezuela and President Hugo Chavez Rey, energy specifically agrifuel, gas, oil and the countries and government trade & financial agreements. Also, I'm following the growing union movement nationally and globally especially the American Free Choice Act, the minimum wage law. Working in the hospitality industry at $7.70/hr I have personal reasons for supporting labor legislation. My summer reading list includes the classics; Pearl S. Buck's "The Good Earth", Upton Sinclairs' "The Jungle", and in another vein, Senator Byron L. Dorgan's "Take This Job and Ship It". I love live concerts. I am religious, what christians call "liberation theology", Jesus from the underside. I've no established demonination although decidedly christian. Active in the peace movement, I was arrested in 2004 with 300+ activists assembled on Pennsylvania Avenue. Since then I've followed the anti-was debate but am disheartened with Congress' handleing of the wars. I'm the mother of two grown children: 1)a special education specialist for dislexic youth, and 2)a photojournalist in Montana.
Why I use Clipmarks To date I've used del.icio.us for all my postings. I am trying Clipmarks to save the essense of articles from a myriad of different sources. I use RSS feed and media alerts from non_RSS sources. I'm especially interested in Cuba's "Granma", AlJazeera, Countercurrents, and Prensa. I am looking for a good spanish/english translation software, preferable freeware.
