POPSA wind farm - IN IRAN! Once again, Iran is not what you expect. It's the only Middle East country with an active wind energy program.

POPSGermans pioneer "passive" houses No furnace needed! Uses 1/20th the energy of typical house. I'm privileged to live in a super-insulated house that has an air-to-air heat exchange ventilation system, like this one uses, which we love, for the house has fresh air all year long. But ours has a ground-source heat pump as well.

POPSWV coal baron: Energy efficiency is communist plot King of WV coal industry (and of WV Republican bankrollers) Don Blankenship rejoices to be criticized by the "communists and atheists" of the Charleston Gazette - and anybody who doesn't believe America's future is built on coal. Did YOU know Charleston was a hub of Communist activity, and that the coal industry was our only hope?

POPSCoal River Mountain blasting permit awarded Historic and beautiful area in WV slated for mountaintop removal mining, even though more energy possible through a wind farm there. You may "sign the petition in support of the Coal River Wind project, but today that's not enough - Call Governor Manchin at 1-888-438-2731 and ask him to put a hold on this permit. Now. Like pronto"

POPSMcCain brags up Palin's non-existent pipeline Tells Hannity "she knows more about energy than probably anyone else" and "was responsible for ... a $40 billion pipeline bringing natural gas from Alaska to the lower 48." Only problem: It doesn't exist, and may never be built.

POPSFactcheck: Palin even wrong on Alaska energy "Not even close:" In Gibson interview, she claims Alaska produces 20% of US energy; 3.5%, says US Energy Info Admin. This she claims as "a credential I do bring to the table." Are we being unfair here? Or are these things she really ought to know?

POPSMcCain still mocks tire-inflation efficiency "In fact, as Time reported the other day, it could actually be better than new drilling -- if everyone did it we'd consume three percent less fuel, while drilling would only meet one percent of our needs." And as you know, Senator, Obama never claimed it was an energy policy; he was pointing out that drilling produces an increase so small we could beat it for free. This all ya got? Misleading zingers? Policies so limp that freebies can do better?
