She was an great legend of Rabindra Sangeet after Kanika Banerjee. Indian President Smt. Pratibha Devisingh Patil, other Polictical leaders and Biswabharti has expressed sorrow to her death. Her deadbody has been placed at “Peace Haven” for taking last rest. It has been scheduled that her dead body will be sent to differrent places by including Jorasanko Thakur Bari, Rabindra Sadan, Rabi Tirtha etc. Then after the dead body will be sent to Kauroltolla Burning Ghat at 2:00 pm. on 4th January, 2011.
