    pokkets
    by pokkets  9-15-2007    7
There is a bigger list of the points in favor of each on the page, but I thought some of the water ones involving dehydration, and thirst were important. For more testing on the actual behavior of coke, The TV show MythBusters, investigated coke myths, some were true others not so true. I have done a clip on them 'MythBusters central.' I thought they deserved their own clip.

Evolutionary biology holds that in any given population, extreme characteristics tend to fall away in favor of average ones. Birds with unusually long or short wings die more often "in storms. Human babies who are born larger or smaller than average are less likely to survive. The ability to form an average-mate template would have conveyed a singular survival advantage."

But the truth is that they aren’t bothered by the fact that almost nine million children in America lack health insurance. They don’t think it’s a problem."

1 billion people are threatened by starvation.
    duvelic
    by duvelic  5-18-2007    2
Interview with Erwin Wagenhofer_____ From article: In contrast to people who have too little and starve, we in the industrialized nations should be the happiest people since we have never really suffered from hunger and thirst. Yet we are actually far from being happy and content. What is it that hinders us? When I look around I do not see many happy people, even though we today have such immeasurable wealth. My mother and father, for example, experienced hunger; I am the first in our family who comes from a generation that has not known hunger. Maybe this is due to our considerable need for time to learn to deal with such material wealth. I believe that we need more time than we think is required. A human lifespan is not very long, even if we do live to a ‘ripe old age’. In comparison to the world’s history it is really very short. Maybe we should also be more modest and do everything somewhat more slowly. The pace of life today is killing us. ...

    Income-Inequality Gap Widens
    cptenaud
    by cptenaud  10-12-2007    9
The gap between the affluent and the poor is growing larger every day in this country and all over the world. The despair that accompanies poverty is seen by many as the primary cause of many of the world's most serious problems. Terrorism, disease, war, political unrest, hunger, malnutrition, polluted water, racial intolerance, crime, drug and alcohol abuse and suicide all can be traced to poverty. Nothing will test the moral foundation of humanity more than how mankind addresses this issue and nothing will be more important to our physical and spiritual survival.

Maybe that she isn't one of them? Perhaps she expected more. Also "No-one in America should go hungry" Of course prisoners get three meals a day. '
