POPSPelosi fine with jailing the uninsured This should put to rest the lie the left is spreading that conservatives are lying when they say you could go to jail for not buying insurance under the democrat health care takeover.

POPSPELOSI: Buy a $15,000 Policy or Go to Jail Or you could pay a fine for, you know, being alive. I had joked before about them eventually taxing you for breathing to cut down on CO2 emissions, but I never though they would really tax you for doing nothing more than being alive.

POPSThe White House Agrees With Joe Wilson? Seems to me maybe the White House and congressional democrats owe Joe Wilson and the American people an apology. He was right, Obama did lie, and now the White House may end up getting behind a proposal republicans made a while ago that was defeated by a straight line party vote.

POPSCommon-Sense Health Care Reform Our Nation Can Afford Yet the president keeps spreading the lie that the republicans have no plans and want no reform at all. Some of the radical ideas republicans have proposed: "We do need medical liability reform, and it needs to be real reform. We need to establish tough liability reform standards, encourage speedy resolution of claims, and deter junk lawsuits that drive up the cost of care." "Let's also talk about letting families and businesses buy insurance across state lines." "All individuals should have access to coverage, regardless of preexisting conditions." "Individuals, small businesses and other groups should be able to join together to get health insurance at lower prices, the same way large businesses and labor unions do."

POPSJoe Wilson was right I like how it was put at Instapundit, "It was a breach of decorum and civility. But someone who says “get in their face” and “punch back twice as hard” has little standing to bring that up. If you want to benefit from traditions of civility, you should respect them, and that has hardly been a hallmark of this administration, which has gone out of its way to try to demonize and shout down opponents." http://pajamasmedia.com/instapundit/84941/

POPSU.S. Cancer Care Is Number One Early Diagnosis. It is often claimed that people have better access to preventive screenings in universal health care systems. But despite the large number of uninsured, cancer patients in the United States are most likely to be screened regularly, and once diagnosed, have the fastest access to treatment. For example, a Commonwealth Fund report showed that women in the United States were more likely to get a PAP test for cervical cancer every two years than women in Australia, Canada, New Zealand and Great Britain, where health insurance is guaranteed by the government. In the United States, 85 percent of women aged 25 to 64 years have regular PAP smears, compared with 58 percent in Great Britain. The same is true for mammograms; in the United States, 84 percent of women aged 50 to 64 years get them regularly " a higher percentage than in Australia, Canada or New Zealand, and far higher than the 63 percent of British women.

POPSSensible and free health care reform that the left can't stand John Mackey is the CEO of Whole Foods. After this article Obamacare supporters started a boycott of Whole Foods. Many on the left like to say the right is opposed to health care reform and would rather do nothing, but it seems to me more like those on the left want a government run system or nothing. They say the right is stonewalling reform, but they seem to be the one's unwilling to give any ground.
