POPSGreenpeace-Forest Law in Argentina The Senate has approved the proposed forest law which halts the cutting down of the forests, and demands that each province (state) set a part a protected area that cannot be cut down, deforested. This will stop the dying of many animal species, and more importantly it will preserve the national forest. These forest are not only part of Argentine heritage but are also important in helping ward off the negative climatic changes.

POPSArgentina running mate presented I like her I just think she needs to do more at home campaigning than building ties with other countries. She has not won yet, she should focus on building the country from within, not of possible international allies/coalitions.

POPSInflation Argentina The government has announced that inflation only reached .5% during the month of July. However prizes at supermarkets are on the rise; changing daily. In Argentina a country rich in meat it is too expensive to eat a steak, and don't try to accompany it with a salad, the prices of produced have sky rocketed. I don't know what these guys measure; maybe they should go shopping and re-crunch those numbers.

POPSKnock, knock: It's your Big Mac I'm not sure if Mickey D's delivers here but I know that almost everything else can be delivered. I have seen groceries, medicine, all sorts of food, drinks, clothes etc delivered. It's crazy, guess I'm used to driving myself to get things but here (Argentina) delivery is expected. You can even get ice cream delivered, now whether its still solid by the time you get it is another issue.

POPSSe Caen Los Indultos Argentine officers who were pardoned for committed crimes against humanity during the country's Dirty War will not have to face justice. Pardons were lifted and the first of a long line of military officials faced trial. It is definitely a step forward for Argentina.

POPS"NO HAY QUE ASUSTARSE ANTE LO NUEVO" In her first speech as Presidential candidate Governor and First Lady Kirchner spoke about having ideas that can be linked with the people and are not only limited to the ideology of political parties. I am happy to see a woman presidential candidate who is not afraid to speak her mind and who seems willing to seek change.

POPSANUNCIAN PROGRAMA PARA AHORRAR ENERGIA The situation with gas (compressed gas) is a nuisance. People who need gas to go to work and at home don't have it, yet the government maintains its exporting contracts. Maybe our officials should start taking care of business at home and then venture to do business abroad. Otherwise the situation we are experiencing this winter will be mimicked in the coming years.
