Taliban severs ties with al Qaeda - seeks peace
    pkronfield
    by pkronfield  10-6-2008
No matter how CNN spins this - we have slaughtered the Taliban until their forces and leadership are depleted, and they have lost the will to fight. This is what is known as victory. It is the same sort of victory we are experiencing in Iraq. The democrats and the mainstream media are so unfamiliar with the concept of "victory" they can't recognize it. It is the kind of victory liberal democrats would never achieve, because it takes courage, foresight, and patient fortitude - - all qualities they lack. I believe only President Bush was capable of taking the war to the enemy, and seeing it through. History will be very good to him.

Demoncrats want you to be "patriotic" - Give us your money
    pkronfield
    by pkronfield  9-18-2008    10
This liberals have a strange sense of patriotism. They can refuse to wear American flag pins. They can refuse to hold their hands over their hearts during the National Anthem. They can stab our troops in the back during war. They can undermine a sitting president during war time. But when it comes to separating you from your money, now it's patriotic. Folks, this isn't patriotism... this is Marxism.

Obama: "I need to earn troops' trust"
    pkronfield
    by pkronfield  7-8-2008    12
Before they can trust, they have to respect. Clinton never got the respect of the troops other than the lickspittle Gen. Wesley Clark. Similarly, this empty suit, al Qaeda sleeper cell Hussein Obama, will never gain that respect. He represents the Left who continually stabbed them in the back during the long war.

    Dump this blowhard

    by pkronfield  7-2-2008
This toon would be funny, except the empty suit Obama would not have the courage to strap on a jet aircraft. And Clark the war hero who criticizes McCain? This blowhard was a '66 grad of West Point. In the middle of a war, does he get out to the front as do his classmates? Hell no. He trots over to Oxford as a Rhodes Scholar for two years while his classmates are fighting and dying. He finally makes it over to 'Nam in '70 where he is a general's aide for 6 months, and finally commands a company for less than 1 month in combat where he is shot four times by a VC and evacuated to the U.S. where, after he recuperates from minor flesh wounds, takes up a teaching post back at West Point. And he criticizes John McCain! Birds of a feather fly together... and so do empty suits.

Eat Crow, liberal Iraqi war skeptics
    pkronfield
    by pkronfield  6-9-2008    17
If Democrats had won the White House in 2004, the jihadists might have succeeded. The idiotic liberals are still for retreat in the face of victory. The US decision to "stay the course" in the Iraq war, which was also widely mocked and criticized, served to thoroughly demoralize the jihadist movement. Another example of why liberals are unfit to run this country, unless you want to run it into the ground.

    pkronfield
    by pkronfield  5-26-2008
Almost as many U.S. troops were killed in this one battle than after 4 years of battle in Iraq. Did America's loony left howl at Roosevelt, or blame the secretary of war? What has happened over these 60 odd years, is that the liberals have become cowards, and unswerving in their desire to undermine the government and our duly elected leaders in a time of war. The true definition of traitors.

Iraq could be decisive victory over bin Laden
    pkronfield
    by pkronfield  2-17-2008    1
I have always felt that Bush's plan to invade Iraq was the right thing to do, and was strategically brilliant. It was the way to rid the Middle East of a tyrant, draw in and decimate al Qaeda, and an effective way to ultimately defeat al Qaeda and jihadist philosphy, that could never have been done in Afghanistan alone. Once again the democrats have been proven wrong on Iraq and wrong on how to fight and defeat al Qaeda. History will provide Bush and his administration with a legacy as a brilliant war president who executed a brilliant, difficult and daring war plan successfully. And the title of this piece is telling - who has been trying to sell the American people with Iraq's Jihad Myths? The liberal mainstream media, that's who.

On Iraq - domocrats' State of Denial
    pkronfield
    by pkronfield  11-23-2007
Why is top-down national reconciliation as yet unattainable? Because decades of Saddam Hussein's totalitarianism followed by the brutality of the post-invasion insurgency destroyed much of Iraq's political infrastructure, causing Iraqis to revert to the most basic political attachment -- tribe and locality. Gen. David Petraeus's genius has been to adapt American strategy to capitalize on that development, encouraging the emergence of and allying ourselves with tribal and provincial leaders -- without waiting for cosmic national deliverance from the newly constructed and still dysfunctional constitutional apparatus in Baghdad. Al-Qaeda in Iraq is in disarray, the Sunni insurgency in decline, the Shiite militias quiescent, the capital city reviving. Are we now to reverse course and abandon all this because parliament cannot ratify the reconciliation already occurring on the ground?

Culminating Point - Victory in Iraq over al Qaeda
    pkronfield
    by pkronfield  11-21-2007
The U.S. operation, called Arrowhead Ripper, began with a series of carefully orchestrated house to house assaults. This was an intelligence-driven battle with precise information, gleaned from overhead surveillance using unmanned aircraft, signals intercepts and willing Iraqis who came forward. The combat was sharp and at times furious. American casualties rose in late June; the enemy fought knowing full well that losing Baquba would force them to retreat into the empty northern deserts. By the end of July, al Qaeda's decision to regroup in Baquba left it a fractured, relatively leaderless force, stripped of concealment and popular support. Once in the open terrain of the deserts, al Qaeda fighters became easier targets for surgical hits from Special Operations teams. But successful counterinsurgency operations don't capture fixed objectives. They create what soldiers call "white spaces," areas devoid of influence, political vacuums that compel occupancy by either an enemy seeking

A pretty good piece on how pathetic liberals are in prosecuting a war. As the 6th anniversary of 9/11 approaches, and bin Laden gloats and lectures incoherently, the liberals, blind as always, seek to hold on to their imaginary utopia. All that utopia boils down to is denial of reality and surrender.

When the Greeks finally threw out the Turks after 400+ years of brutal occupation, they either destroyed every mosque in Greece or converted them into cafenions. Now, incredibly, a grand mosque is being constructed outside of Athens. You see these monstrosities all over America. One more attack and we should follow the Greek example. Convert them back to cornfields or turn them into night clubs. It's hard to find, but I managed to buy a copy of this book on abebooks.com.

I believe President Bush has recently signed a finding that outlaws this sort of thing, and empowers the U.S. government to seize any funds from any organization which undermines the stability of Iraq. Therefore "United for Peace and Justice", and Code Pink should have all assets stripped and their principals indicted for criminal activity. If it can be proven that Waxman enabled this activity, he should be prosecuted and his assets stripped.
