POPSICC Celebrates Diversity Day 2009 ICC celebrated ICC Diversity Day 2009 on 28th September to bind the cricket community of the world and to preserve the sanctity of the renowned game. The diversity day was started in 2007 by ICC as a step to appreciate the volunteers who work to promote the game. The ICC is dependent on thousands of volunteers which contribute their expertise to promote the game. The event was celebrated in South Africa this year in ICC Champions Trophy matches. The ICC Diversity Day is regularly celebrated in many countries of the world. The volunteers are main people who are behind so much entertainment that we see on televisions. Haron Lograt said that “Cricket is dependent on and has benefited enormously from the thousands of volunteers around the world. These individuals give generously of their time and skills without expecting any financial reward.” The Diversity Day lets people come together and understand each other.
