POPS(doesn't work) Restarting Windows without restarting your PC THIS IS NOT WORKING FOR ME-SORRY FOR POSTING THIS. I think this was possible in Windows 98, in fact I'm sure it worked in Win 98. Can anyone else confirm? I should've check this earlier. A somewhat not-as-good alternative is to kill the explorer.exe process and then relaunch it with task manager, but it's not as clean and you still have some other DLLs and processes running that could be cleared up with a reboot. This will sometimes help if Windows gets frozen and you want to try something before hitting the reset or shutting down. I thought this passage said it best: " If you listen to a lot of conservatives, they'll tell you that the difference between them and us is that conservatives love America and liberals hate America.... They don't get it. We love America just as much as they do. But in a different Way. You see, they love America the way a 4-year-old loves her Mommy. Liberals love America like grown-ups. To a 4-year-old, everything Mommy does is wonderful and anyone who criticizes Mommy is bad. Grown-up love means actually understanding what you love, taking the good with the bad, and helping your loved one grow. Love takes attention and work and is the best thing in the world."

POPSMicrosoft goes for the open source jugular Microsoft was starting to look like they'd changed their ways, like they were going to compete on the merits of their software, not on the premise of litigating everyone else out of business. The large majority of these patents have prior art and never should have been granted, others are common sense. This is a very offensive move from MS against a HUGE community of open source users, including you. Check out William Hurley's article about what the world would be like without open source software if you don't believe me. MS is grasping at straws here, and It's certainly not going to win them any PR.
