POPSOfficial site of the Tibetan government in exile Thank god it's not censored yet,I guess it's fresh out of the oven. There's a video on how the nuns and monks were tortured by the Chinese central government in the 1950s,which is called by the Tibetan "a genuine religious and cultural genocide."

POPSManchus go online I am actually half Manchu, and though happy as I am to see such a wonderful website put on,the slightly sad fact is that now I--like many I suppose--have obviously lost this identity, and don't have a strong sense about things like "Manchu Nationality".

POPSBeijing-ers' English Names Okay, after teasing the tatooes,to even it out, here's something funny about Chinese people having some *special English names. Aside from that,I am still a little surprised to see that every single person in Beijing is speaking a litttle English, for the 2008 Games perhaps.

POPSGay Party in Beijing Anything like this in the capital would sound/look really Surreal. Funny though, that they call it "The most stable-operated gay bar in Beijing".

POPSHomosexuality in the acient Chinese culture China that I've never known of.And,unfortunately, nowadays the Chinese natives seem to have adopted the idea that homosexuality is ,well, some sort of a sin and "bad deed".Look what the ancestors have to say.

POPSGoogle blocked yet again?
Donno if it's just a local network corruption or a nationwide thing, nothing confirmed yet at all,but google.com and all its content/services(gmail,gtalk etc) have been inaccessible to me for approximately 5 hours, whereas the google.cn is still butter-smooth. The only way to get to some services is either through the Chinese google page being directed to such pages still available as shown above:google labs with the actual tools enlisted on it not available, google scholar search, google news in several languages not including google news U.S.(Actually,the page was available for a split second and then boom, the connection cannot be established any more.)etc, the other way is,well, through a proxy. I certainly hope that it's a local problem since similar incidents did happen (which makes me like mental and all anxious every now and then,is there a term "information anxiety"?).Yet some protests would be awesome, this can't be because the PM has just commented on the censorship, can it?

POPS"Everything is illuminated" Obviously it's not a secret to the world, not so much of a secret in China as well, seems everybody just keeps this to themselves, anyway, this never goes a "public opinion" within the country.

POPSReligions got hurdles This is seemingly so unreasonable of the Chinese government. Wikipedia, blogger, wordpress, and now this...kinda pointless already.
