POPSCircumcision - cutting the competition
Some forms of genital mutilation have obvious effects on fertility. For instance, several African and Micronesian societies practice testicular ablation—the crushing or cutting off of one testicle. Some Australian aborigines engage in subincision, which exposes part of the urethra and thus causes sperm to leak out of the base of the penis. Circumcision does not have quite such clear-cut effects. But there are several ways it may affect fertility: most obviously, the lack of a foreskin could make insertion, ejaculation or both take longer. Perhaps long enough that an illicit quickie will not always reach fruition. Older men are in a position to form alliances with younger men—passing on knowledge, lending them political support and giving them access to weapons. By insisting that the young undergo genital mutilation of some form as a quid pro quo, an older married man can seek to ensure that even if he is cuckolded, he will still be the father of his wives’ children.

POPSChe's Children seek respect not money A man who fought and died trying to overthrow capitalism and material excess should not be used to sell British vodka, French fizzy drinks and Swiss mobile phones, among other travesties, she said. "We don't want money, we demand respect." Aleida, 47, the eldest of Guevara's four children by his second wife, made the comments during an internet forum sponsored by Cuba's government ahead of what would have been her father's 80th birthday on June 14. The complaint came amid a surge of renewed interest in Guevara. The actor Benicio del Toro won best actor at the Cannes Film Festival this month for his portrayal in Steven Soderbergh's four and a half hour epic Che. Camilo Guevara, a son, who participated in the forum, said he welcomed the film as long as it was faithful to his father's memory.

POPSChildren affected by demolitions The children are traumatized for life. Think Israel givesashit? Israel is without a heart or a soul. Hence cruelty is what that rotten society lives by.

POPSNakba(h) day in pictures It was a day of grief for Palestinians, who refer to the founding of Israel as the Catastrophe, or al-Nakba. Thousands took to the streets to commemorate those exiled or killed in the conflict that followed the creation of the state of Israel in 1948. More than 700,000 Palestinians fled or were expelled, their property was expropriated and they have not been allowed to return. Nearly 5 million Palestinians and their descendants still live in makeshift refugee camps across the neighbouring region.

POPSEastern Travel - 'Toy Trains' "The Japanese have taken the idea of ‘child-friendly public transport’ to the next level with these 2 beauties, both designed by eiji mitooka. he was the artistic force behind ‘omoden’ (toy train) and ‘ichigo ec’ (strawberry train), a couple of regional trains which travel on a daily basis on the 14.3km kishigawa line in japan. the Japanese are intent on making train travel a more comfortable experience for everyone, women and children especially, and the results are incredible. Both trains contain hundreds of toys, TV screens showing cartoons, immaculately clean wooden flooring and cots for younger children. Call me cynical but I can’t imagine anything like this emerging in the UK unless it was an attraction at a theme park."

POPSPortrait of Courage: Irena Sendler From the article: "In 1943, she was captured by the Nazis and tortured but refused to tell her captors who her co-conspirators were or where the bottles were buried. She also resisted in other ways. According to Felt, when Sendler worked in the prison laundry, she and her co-workers made holes in the German soldiers' underwear. When the officers discovered what they had done, they lined up all the women and shot every other one. It was just one of many close calls for Sendler."

POPSChildren of Mansouri Remembered. "In all, six people were killed, including Abbas Jiha's wife, Mona, and three of his children. Overwhelmed with grief, he tore at the vehicle with his bare hands, soon followed by the U.N. Fijian troops from the checkpoint. The Israeli helicopter remained in the sky over UN Checkpoint 1-23 for another five minutes. Then it flew away. ... POPSPalestine: A Letter to the Peace Movement
Thousands of Palestinians are imprisoned in Israeli detention centers where there is reported use of torture. People die at Israeli checkpoints because they cannot get to medical facilities. Palestinians are being denied water, food and medical supplies. Palestinians have to endure continual attacks by jets, helicopters and drones used for assassinations (which are illegal by international law) that also kill many civilians. According to Chris Hedges (http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article19127.htm), since 2000, 1033 Israelis have died and 4,437 Palestinian have died from this conflict. 119 of these deaths were Israeli children and 971 have been Palestinian children. All these deaths are a waste of life, but these numbers also show that the fault is not equal between the Israelis and Palestinians. The fault lies with the aggressor and the occupier. When people live under a brutal occupation, have their lands stolen, their houses destroyed, orchards wiped out by bulldozers

POPSChild Abuse in Sickening Detail. Death a relief Having read the details of this horrific child abuse, which is beyond anything I've previously read, I'm left incapable of rational thought. Recently there was a sex/cult event in Texas. In comparison with this it was a non-event. This has been kept hushed up. Why? Is it because of the involvement of a Haredi Orthodox Rabbi as the prime torturer? Recently another child abuser in Australia was given safe haven in Israel. Is it opportune while the pope seeks forgiveness in the USA, that abuse of children that would put the Nazis to shame would see the light of day in the 'free and fair' USA media. Is there a word on this atrocity? What society allowed this to happen? This was no overnight phenomenon. What religion sees it as creed to torture children beyond what would be acceptable to the worst criminal or terrorist? How sick is the society?

POPS'Silence must be broken in SEXUAL ABUSE of Children' "We must call on the rabbis to tell their population to be more open about what is going on. It is not lashon hora ," added Kadman. "People who keep quiet are partners in the abuse." Asked whether the case in Beit Shemesh and the one two weeks ago of a US immigrant family accused of severely abusing their six children indicated a rise in abuse within the haredi community, both Slutzky and Kadman concurred that it was more a case of increased awareness and reporting. Kadman noted that child abuse cases have gone up in recent years, but that this was the case in all of society, not particularly in the Haredi community. ...JPost

POPS62% Less Children's Tooth Decay: New Gum, better than Brushing The soft mints are designed to be dissolved and chewed into the biting surfaces of the back teeth, where about 90 percent of cavities in children occur. "Unlike regular candies, we want this product to be stuck in the teeth," said Mitchell Goldberg, president of Ortek Therapeutics Inc, a privately held company in Roslyn Heights, New York, that licensed the technology from Stony Brook. Goldberg said in a telephone interview that unlike sugarless gum, which fights cavities by temporarily increasing the flow of saliva in the mouth, the mints actively neutralize acids that cause cavities. ...Reuters

POPSBBC UK: 5,000 Children Groomed for Prostitution "It happened every night. There were loads of men involved." Her voice cracks. "You couldn't keep count." It was like a conveyor belt, she recalls. A conveyor belt of men all expecting sex. She was only 14. Jane clearly remembers the sheer, terrifying numbers of men who would be brought to her bed at night. Jane has, to a certain extent, repaired her life - she has a job and her relationship with her parents remains strong. The long-term damage, however, is profound, and she suffers nightmares, flashbacks and depression. As she puts it: "I was just this innocent little girl who went from playing with her dolls to having sex with lots of different men." And unpalatable though it may be to confront, there are, even now, many other innocent little girls at risk of being forced into the same sickening transition.

POPSSpanish Divorce ONLY for a YEAR???? "Parents are capable of doing anything to get their children into schools. The philosophy is ruthless," said José Miguel Iglesias, the agency's head. "It is 'If I shoot those above me on the list, then my child gets in'." If couples want to split or get back together it has to be registered with the authorities in Spain. It is not an offence to go through a false divorce or ask for a bogus official separation. ...Guardian

POPSSt.Patrick's Day FOUR, lest you forget.
“As a mother who knows the preciousness of children, not just mine - but all children - I want the court to understand that before we walked into the recruiting station a million people had already died in Iraq from U.S. imposed sanctions, half of them children,” her sister Clare said earlier that day at her sentencing in Binghamton federal court. I wanted to show my support for the actions of the St. Patrick’s Four (SP4). But nearing the end of a short but concentrated tour of presentations in New York’s capital area, I’d nearly decided not to venture to Binghamton for the sentencing of the group. After arriving there I quickly realized it would have been a big mistake not to have come. “War is bloody. The blood we brought to the recruiting station was a sign of the blood inherent in the business of the recruiting station,” read the statement the group issued the day of their action, “The young men and women who join the military, via that recruiting station, are people whose li

POPSWhy the leniency for pedophiles? 100,000 Sexual Molestations The law demands a clear explanation in cases where the minimum is disregarded. Yet council research found only two cases in the past three years in which judges bothered to account for extra lenient sentencing. One of the cases cited was of a teacher who molested his 13-year-old female student. He was given six months community service and another 14 months' probationary sentence. By law he could have been imprisoned for up to seven years ...Israeli ENews Feb'08

POPSSexpionage, underage Girls or Boys, Gays, whatever. Bill Clinton got off light. It could have been an underage girl instead of the well experienced Monica and her rosy mouth. How many Congress votes are got from sex with underage children? What level will the Zionist stoop to to kill Palestinians because that is the cause and effect of sexpionage in the USA by the Zionists? Ignore it. It'll go away. Like Bush. Sure.
