POPSObama's fake birth certificate Why doesn't the campaign just drop the five or ten bucks it takes to get an official certification of live birth or better yet, the actual birth certificate and put this whole thing to rest? I can't imagine that at this point in his career that there is any major problem with his birth certificate, so why not just release it? Seriously, there are situations where a birth certificate is a required form of ID, you would think being president, with it's constitutional requirements, would be one of those situations.

As long as you have your health you can change your circumstances (give up the mind chatter about all the reasons why you can't) and LIVE...just live out the what and who of your Being. Therein lies the answer to you maddening questions, the light in the darkness of the crater you roam endlessly, a lone and weary survivor of despair and melancholy. Why do we go on? Despite all our efforts to balance the tangible manifestations of our corporeal existence, we are swept into a maelstrom of futile corrections, ports of call that promise to HEAL, and a bankrupt Soul. We witness the last rites of our simple leaving only to be awakened again and again...still bound.

"People who have known him and loved him before his military detention don't feel they can even bear to see him because he is so clearly mentally ill." In 2002, the Justice Department produced a "torture" memo stating that victims would have to experience pain equivalent to organ failure to prove torture. "The development of a mental disorder such as post-traumatic stress disorder, which can last months or even years, or even chronic depression, which can last a considerable period of time if untreated, might satisfy the prolonged harm requirement" to prove torture, the memo says. The doctors say Padilla's psychological condition exceeds even the high standard for mental damage set by the 2002 torture memo. "If you would expect a person to become so deranged as to become psychotically terrified, to me that constitutes torture."

Dole's notification requirement was in an amendment she offered Wednesday to a broad military money bill before the legislation was pulled from the floor in a showdown over Iraq. The larger bill may be back as soon as September.

For years, the White House also tried to "water down" a key report on the dangers of second-hand smoke, he said. When it was published last year , the report stated that even brief exposure to cigarette smoke can cause immediate harm.
