POPS2007 Sacred Music Festival in Fez Sometimes this festival gets a little too posh for my tastes, but lying on a carpet in the courtyard of a centuries-old museum and listening to a two-hour long raga (?), staring up at the oak tree-framed sky, birds twittering and no other human sound is... being There. This year's festival is dedicated to the 500th birthday of everyone's favorite mystic and permissive poet, Rumi. Better to go and drop in a la carte... it's fun to see the King at the bigger shows, but it's better to go off and get lost in the medina or mountains. God, I want to go again.

POPSJesus says, "No sniping!" *****NO RESERVE**** So here's my dilemma: This seller has the stuff I have been looking for, has a perfect rating on Ebay and good prices, etc, but she's obviously a born-again Christian. (She uses the the term elsewhere in the copy.) On the positive side, I'm sure her beliefs mean that she runs a clean business and I feel reassured that my transaction would be safe with her. On the other hand--how can I put this delicately--Christians are okay, I just don't want them living in my back yard. That's the nice way to put it. Am I a hypocrite to buy from this dealer?

POPSRossi's Plan is to "Go Fast" I'm so sick with anticipation I'm just reading and clipping anything about the final race tomorrow. Here's an example of how insane the standings are right now: if Nicky Hayden lands second on the podium, Rossi only has to place place fifth to take the title. Third for Nicky means Rossi needs only ninth. Plus, the front row is Rossi, Capirossi, Bayliss--my sweetheart, two Ducs and one of them ridden by... BAYLISS? Where'd he come from? Nicky lined up right next to Pedrosa, his teammate who ran him off the track and trashed the race in Portugal last time around and... I'll just calm down and see if I can get anyone to bet me over the number of laps Nakano makes before crashing.
