POPSDNA bungle shows 'lessons not learnt' TV probably convinced most that DNA was the panacea, but allowance for human error has to come in somewhere, so it should be able to be questioned. (I doubt it has much to do with the rich, who seem to be sloppy with their DNA.)

POPSAfghan army 'in need of US funds' All govts suffer corruption to some extent, so Afghanistan is the same as all of us. What gives Obama the right to ignore what happens in his country, while preaching to others, can only be hypocrisy. Maybe it is a codename for the drugs and Karzai has to deliver them all to the invaders.

POPSSmokers value looks over life Can't bring themselves to ban it because of job loss mainly, I suppose. Smokers I know are more likely to joke about death, whatever they think deep down.

POPSGiant iceberg headed for WA Western Australia is just about out of drinking water. Could be handy if the scientists can work on getting it ashore. We used to joke about dragging icebergs to Australia during droughts. Seems nature is giving it a go. There was an iceberg party being organised for one of these icebergs, but it melted.

POPSThe ugly side of climate politics Why cannot people have a sane discussion about the facts as known? The move to hate shows an inability to understand what is happening. This energy could be used for the benefit of the planet. That would benefit humans.
