POPSNuclear Contamination Growing Worse
The one thing that always struck me odd about nuclear power was how the power plants, after a few decades of use, would then have to be "decommissioned,' -- and that site would no longer be available for any life or human activity for an amount of time equal to more than all of recorded human history. What type of Energy Policy is that? I wondered. Also talk of 'safety,' was a deliberate ruse, at best it was like a kid with a new bike, boasting of how new and shine it was, had it never had any accidents and no one every injured by it -- of course, he had only had the bike for two days. I also noticed that any dissenting voice (and this it true too with our generations of global wars), dissenting voices are garbled, distorted and presented in an ill light; reasonable concerns and articulate responsible people excluded and if any dissent is shown or acknowledge at it is the fringe and most foolish. To me, The key thing about nuke power here in the USA is this: We don't need

POPSWhy Budget Cuts Don’t Bring Prosperity Yet many members of Congress continue to insist that budget cuts are the path to prosperity. The only question in Washington seems to be how deeply to cut federal spending this year. If the economy were at a different point in the cycle — not emerging from a financial crisis — the coming fight over spending could actually be quite productive. Republicans could force Democrats to make government more efficient, which Democrats rarely do on their own. Democrats could force Republicans to abandon the worst of their proposed cuts, like those to medical research, law enforcement, college financial aid and preschools. And maybe such a benevolent compromise can still occur over the next several years. The immediate problem, however, is the fragility of the economy. Gross domestic product may have surpassed its previous peak, but it’s still growing too slowly for companies to be doing much hiring.

POPSNoam Chomsky on Civil Rights, Obama, Latin America, and the History of the U.S. in the Middle East NOAM CHOMSKY: We were talking about unions before. Union busting is criminal activity by the government, because they’re saying, "You can go ahead and do it; we’re not going to apply the laws," effectively. And the COINTELPRO, which you mentioned, is actually the worst systematic and extended violation of basic civil rights by the federal government.- society has continued to turn on it's ear and take 10 steps backwards while doing it-

POPSGlenn Beck To Egypt Critics: 'Go To Hell' (VIDEO) About fourteen minutes into this monologue, Beck repeated his belief that "we are witnessing the birth of the new world order." He then said, "and you want to call me crazy? Go to hell. Call me crazy all you want." While he said this, he appeared to make the hand gesture that got Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia in trouble in 2006.

POPSCIA Torture "Advice," False. A clearer headline: TORTURE DID NOT WORK. This particular article has some spins favorable to the warmongers but the essential fact is Clipped here. The article, for example, goes along with calling torture EID's. EID's? --- If you want to learn the Big Brother lingo it's in the article. Typically, the essential fact (clipped here) is also near buried near the botton, lost in some confusing and excessive out-of-focus distractions, self-justifications, Big Brother vocabulary, etc. One other significant fact is not only is the sadistic excuse ("Torture works,") a clear and deliberate falsehood; but the other major coverup was the info that Torture Did Not Work, that victims gave wrong answers, and/or any answer to get the torture to stop. Feeling deceived yet?
