Of course not, because that morally ambiguous dispute is rightly remembered as a minor part of a much bigger drama. The mood is reminiscent of Germany after World War I, when Germans complained about the "shameful Versailles diktat" imposed on a prostrate Germany by the victorious powers and about the corrupt politicians who stabbed the nation in the back.

Some ailments do not become apparent until much later. For instance - Vietnam vets exposed to Agent Orange develop diabetes at a rate that has resulted in an automatic assignment to a special group for care. However, this diabetes does not develop in some cases for 10-20 years later. Another example - Gulf War vets from the first time who suffer from Gulf War Syndrome develop strange cancers and other problems - but much later than two years after the fact - and many are still fighting to get their diagnoses confirmed.

I've often wondered why Bush rewarded Tenet with the Medal of Freedom when at the time he was considered to have failed in his job to prevent 9/11 and the supposed weapons of mass destruction had not been found. An impeachment trial is needed to answer many questions about the conduct of this Administration.
