More U.S. Soldiers Killed Themselves Than Died in Combat in 2010
    zizzy
    by zizzy  8-25-2011
Well, darkforce, on this matter we agree. We should not forget the civilian deaths: the Iraqi people matter. 102,238 - 11,753 Iraqi civilian deaths and counting ... U.S. out of Iraq now.

    Janabi: Lied to topple Saddam
    zizzy
    by zizzy  2-15-2011
Janabi, who fled Iraq in 1995, said he did what he did for the Iraqi people, and that he was satisfied with the fact that Hussein is no longer in power. And now the Iraqi government is flush and the United States is broke. Janabi had problems and now the United States really has problems. And neither country is a true Democracy. Thanks.

    Wikileaks Iraq War Logs
    zizzy
    by zizzy  10-22-2010
wikileaks.org is still down for 'scheduled maintenance.' US authorities failed to investigate hundreds of reports of abuse, torture, rape and even murder by Iraqi police and soldiers whose conduct appears to be systematic and normally unpunished.

'Jesus Rifles' Sold to U.S. Military for Use by Iraqi and Afghan Soldiers
    zizzy
    by zizzy  1-19-2010
Your tax dollars at work. I have lived in a majority Muslim country for three years and no one has tried to convert me to Islam or argued that Islam is superior to Christianity. My Muslim friends don't talk about religion unless I ask questions. My interest pleases them, but they don't badger me with handouts, verses from the Quar'an, quote that Haidthas or tell me I'm going to hell. My Muslim friends show much more respect than the assholes at Trijicon: they should loose their contract & fuck those commanders. Some of the inscriptions, include JN8:12, referring to John 8:12 from the books of revelations, which reads: “Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life, and 2COR4:6, which is a reference to Second Corinthians 4:6 of the New Testament, which reads: “For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.”

KBR in Iraq dodges paying taxes
    zizzy
    by zizzy  4-1-2008
KBR's top competitors in Iraq do not appear to have gone to the same lengths to avoid taxes. Other top Iraq war contractors - including Bechtel, Parsons, Washington Group International, L-3 Communications, Perini, and Fluor - told the Globe that they pay Social Security and Medicare taxes for their American workers. KBR has almost completely stopped hiring Americans anyway, even though they receive $16B in American taxpayer dollars. Bosnians were preferred to Americans, but now even they are being replaced by workers from India - cheaper labor. Any hiring of an American has to be justified in writing.

Third of Iraqis 'Need Urgent Aid'

    by zizzy  7-30-2007    1
The Iraqi's have endured years of sanctions plus invasion, occupation and insurgency. No matter what happens in the end, no matter who is in control, what kind of future does a country have when 92% of its children suffer from learning disabilities? This entirely avoidable disaster is so barbaric it makes want me to vomit.
